@@pwinkle Me too. Just don't let others take kindness for weakness. I like to give credit where it's due. This video was helpful in my decision on a starter CCTV system. I purchased 2 of these for $103 delivered. If okay I will add 2 more An email to the seller informed me that I could view 4 at a time ony phone or tablet. May upgrade to e wired system later. Wireless doesn't really mean without wires does it? It actuality means no data wire because it has to have power. ( Unless you figured out how to make it work without a power source. Of ya did, we gotta talk!!!!)

@@brianroberts5740 Yes i agree. in terms of wireless, the network is wireless and you will need battery's or a power cable for this camera. I have other cameras on my channel that also stay powered by a built in battery powered by a solar panel or plug in a power lead (depends on how much sunlight you get and how often you view the camera).

Hi Pwinckle. Thank's for your answer. I believe I understand what's going wrong. My WiFi reception on the camera is very poor and sometimes camera lost the WiFi signal. Do you have some tips to improve the reception on the camera (by antenna or other) because the wifi router is not in my flat and I can't install a booster on the router

Ok, you can try a WiFi antenna extension cable, link shown below. ebay.to/3hXbiCq This will allow you to keep the camera where it is but move the antenna closer to the router. You could try that

How many meters should one keep the camera away from the phone to receive signals. You (Mr. Pwinkle) also mentioned a router; wonder what it is for assuming the cameras' antenna sends signals to one's smartphone directly. Or maybe I am wrong?

You connect the camera to your WiFi router, that way you can connect to the camera from any location (using anyone’s WiFi or your phone 4G signal)

I have just ordered this camera and one of the reasons I bought it is for the PIR sensor which as I understand only detects heat from a subject to activate the camera. However it appears to detecting any movement in your video. I have two Reolink cameras at the moment and although I have the motion detection set at the lowest possible and only a very small area chosen for movement they continuously send false alarms from the changing shadows etc.

Since a few weeks my camera (same as yours) doesn´t store movement. Neither in cloud nor on SD card. It happens from one minute to the other. I can´t find any different settings. I also re-connected the camera, but it dosn´t store (as it did before) ?????? Thanks for your kind support!

I've had this camera for about a month and it's mostly okay. I would like to add two or three more. I use a wifi extender to provide complete coverage around my house. Can I setup some of the cameras on the basic wifi and some on the extender?

Camera has no BMS (battery management system), it is eating 18650 cells, because of overloading the batteries with the solar panel

Got the same camera, but have not succeeded to make it take pictures when someone come close and activates the camera. Just taking photos when I take it manually. Does it not work that way or is there some setting?

Hello mate, Thank you for the video, Question, I was able to pair the phone to the camera. It appears I-Cam app has done some updates. I don't see the black bar under the screen where you can review the recordings, it only records if I hit camera icon and stores a video clip like a normal camera. On another note; The unit does not accepts the included micro SD card, This camera came with a 32GB, If I install the card the camera goes back to like before paring the phone and camera and all the light start blinking, blue, red and the night vision around the camera lens. By the way the ebay store where I purchased the camera on the bottom of the product details has a link to your video. DO you think I need to format the sd card and the reason is not accepting it? and reason the black timeline does not show because the sd card is not inside the camera. Any info will be appreciated. Thanks

Hi this camera need WiFi, you can buy a 4G camera which allow you to view to camera from your phone without WiFi (your using a 4G signal instead) but you may pay a monthly subscription for the 4G SIM card in the camera. You can also buy wireless cameras which connect to a NVR box then you can plug the NVR box into a TV with a hdmi cable (not needing WiFi) I have other videos on my channel showing wireless cameras connecting to a NVR box which I use

I haven’t tried it but I’m thinking if you use your phone as a hotspot for your camera to connect to then you can’t use your phone to view the camera… is that what you mean ?

Some will ask you to format the sd card in the settings and some you don’t need to. You can alway check the sd card after awhile and make sure footage is on there if your unsure

Are you also connected to your WiFi or trying to use mobile data off your phone? You can use mobile data but just check on the app in your settings of your phone you have the mobile data turned on.

I just purchased these cameras and trying to set them up has been a problem. When connected to the usb they come on but when I disconnect them from usb and try to use battery power they won't come on at all. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You will need to charge the battery up for a while, I’m assuming the battery’s aren’t fully charged before unplugging the USB cable?

I have 2 already and they work great. But the 3rd on I got today only shows a red LED and a bell warning approx every 10 seconds. I have reset it but turning it on repeats the cycle. The manuals are useless as far as trouble shooting goes. Any ideas what it could be? My first two never made any noise like this and paired easily with blue LED. Frustrating that the manufacturer isn't as accessible as Western companies.

I am thinking about this same unit and I emailed the seller and I was told you can add as many as you want but can only view maximum of 4 cameras on your phone at a time. They said I can get 2 for $100. Not bad if they work.

Does anyone have problems finding the 18650 rechargeable batteries to fit this model security camera? I have ordered the batteries which were not supplied but the batteries I have brought are too long by 3 to 5 mm to fit into the camera ! Anyone else had the same problem?

If you don’t have the correct information then I would send it back and contact the seller, should come with instructions and check if battery’s are included or not it may depend on the seller

Hello, I'm having trouble connecting to the camera. It has been installed on the holder and the sensor shoots well or if there is a little longer in the field of view the camera will start flashing and recording. However, the camera creates an AP hotspot to which I connect and open the i-cam (android) app and the already inserted camera (add a device -> Scan QR code -> password settings) so when you open the application it does not display a preview or the wheel is still spinning, so I can not adjust the sensitivity of the sensor, display the battery charge status, etc... It does work but it’s not great, there are better cameras out there (now I’ve reviewed more cameras over time) I would pick the PTZ battery powered wireless camera with a attachable solar panel

Where you have the white lines under the image you can scroll back to the orange markers and that will be what is recorded

HoboTech tested the Soliom S90 n think I saw a vid U did of it too. looks like same software, he found some issues with not getting 1080p on card n others. Have U tested this one for such, they don't list a model on ebay for it but did see - Wifi Sun 1PC1080P on label, so bet thats it. another issue he found was it only works with their app n U can't find its IP address on ur router. Know anything about this cam with such?

When pressing the reset button try hold down for 5 seconds and see if the light flashes blue

I would make sure the camera is close to the router when setting up to make sure there’s no issue with the signal. If it’s new and you keep having issues then send it back.

You can connect your phone to any WiFi network and access your camera at home which is connected to your WiFi router at home.

It might be the SD card you are using is not supported (good enough) to save the footage onto the SD card.

Get the camera close to your WiFi router and see if it connects then, have your setup the camera using the app ? Or you having trouble with the setup ?
