Just put a split charger on my 2012 caddy. Perfect route. There is a grommet where the main loom goes through the firewall. Need to remove airbox, battery and battery tray. A pair of long nose pliers to poke through the grommet and pull through the passenger footwell. Cable is then routed under the centre plastics.... Don't have to remove them just slips under. Then to the passenger footwell. Looks tidy wouldn't know it's there.
Sir.. I used a cargo spilt charger.. all was working well to start with , now all im getting is a clicking sound and the spit charger keep going off and on every few seconds. Would this be a bad earth? Thanks and hope you can help
I am building a leisure battery for my Volkswagen van. Off of my split charger for my secondary battery, can I use a lithium battery, even though the battery the powers my engine for the van is not lithium. Can I get away with having my secondary battery be lithium?
I want something that’s going to hold up for a long time though. I’ve asked this question on a couple different videos hoping somebody has a definite answer for me. At Home Depot they have these small little lawnmower ride along type lawnmowers, that use little lithium batteries. Smaller than a car battery that only weighs a few pounds. I wonder if something like that would work?
@@Trentmatthews i have a agm leisure battery running of split relay.. You will need to put an isolator switch from relay to leisure battery, when i turn on van i turn isolator on so it charges battery as my leisure battery holds more charge than starter if rear battery is full it starts putting charge into starter and draining to starter battery power levels so when engines off i turn isolator off. If charging leisure battery from mains without isolator switch it confuses chargers leading to all kinds of beef.. There are smart relays now think a ctek duo costs £450
Hi there, may I ask what split charger you purchased? I’m looking to buy one and also get a leisure battery too for my caddy, for window cleaning. Any recommendations for battery’s too ? Cheers
Hi does the the small black from the split charge relay need to be grounded on the starter battery or can I have it grounded on the leisure battery ? Cheers
