Too much work. How about plug and play like most aftermarket assemblies? Definitely will be the first person NOT buying these. Glad I watched this so I didn't make a mistake buying them.
I don't have that blue connector you used to splice or connect your blacks to black (inverter) wire and your whites to the red (inverter) wires. Was my light kit suppose to include that?
Hi Shaun! Yes those connectors should be in your kit. If you not able to find them in the kit, they are called scotch locks that you can purchase at your local automotive store. You can also give use a call at 877-216-5446 and we can help you out. Thank you!
+Salomon Bazarte double check your ground. If you have a weak ground connection they will not be as bright. I have had to in the past run a new ground directly to the negative(-) terminal on my battery to get a proper ground.
Comes with everything you need...."PRETTY MUCH" HA...would have been nice if you at least told us where to get that inverter that it does NOT come with..or show us if there's a way to wire them without it
+Derrick Perez not sure if you received a set without it or what, but these for this truck came with the ballast, all the ones I have ever installed have came with the ballast.
I had the same problem bur then i went to auto zone and got some of 3m's black super weatherstrip adhesive and applied it on the crease and between the housing and lense so i wouldnt have that problem anymore and works like a charm
while installing my spyder headlights this weekend I used your video to guide me. Thanks for the assistance. Any chance you know where you got that grille insert? That would be a pretty cool addition to my truck.
It is the ford f150 DUX automotive grille insert. We do not carry it on our site but I did find it on this site. www.grounddynamics.com/product-p/fd300.htm
because on your website it says that the h1 are the low beam but they are not so I bought h1 hid and they did not fit one the projector so now I have to buy 9006 could you please fix it

Ive had these halo projectors for an 09 cobalt lt for a little over a month now.....ccfl halos work great, and so do the high beams, but the projector low beams already burnt out, any suggestions?
MLGMONGO it is because of the life of the bulb. Those bulbs create a lot of heat and since you use the low beams the most they have a tendency to burnout quicker. Hi. I have the same style headlights. I installed them myself and I did everything that I saw in the video. The three LEDs light up fine but when it come to my halos and orange light strip it isn't anywhere near as bright as yours. Any suggestions on how I can make them brighter? As of right now you can hardly even notice they are lit up on a rainy day.
+Greg Rocha here are a couple thoughts that come to mind for us regarding your lights: 1- The lights installed are CCFL halos, which do appear brighter compared to the LED halos also offered by Spyder. 2- The video was shot indoors, and the lighting isn't particularly bright in there. How bright they appear to the naked eye will vary based on the ambient lighting 3- Do you have a good ground to your lighting, if you do not they may not be getting proper continuity.
+RealTruck.com i installed them step for step from this video. But my guess is that maybe the ground wire to the parking lights isn't very strong. Unfortunately they aren't Ccfl halos. I had led halos on my last truck as well and they were a significant amount brighter. I'm just wondering if I run a ground wire directly from my battery if that might help. But if their is any other way you can think to make them brighter please let me know
+RealTruck.com i got 2014 dodge ram i got Spyder how do you hook up led light and Halo eyes up I got 3 red wires two white wires and one black wire which one is the positive wires
Stickpin Suicide did you ever find out what the inverter box was? I just got a set of these for my ram and am confused as hell, they don't include it with the lights
You need to check with Spyder about your lights. Spyder has 2 styles, CCFL and LED Crystal. Only the CCFL require an invertor. If you didn't find an invertor connected to your headlight assembly, the you have the LED Crystal style headlight.
Quick question for ya. I recently purchased a set of ccfl halos and I see you are using scotch locks. Do you think it would work as well with male and female tabs? I would like an input before I decide to install and mess something up. Thanks for your help!!
OSOKninjagang it would yes. You would need to get the 3way type and I would suggest the heat shrink ones with the sealer in them. i would probably still wrap them with electrical tape to help keep water out as well. The best method is to solder them though. RealTruck.com I actually took the two whit wires twisted them together and put them in one end of a butt splice connector then attached the two wires on the opposite side and crimped the middle. Worked like a charm. I appreciate the help with the video. It helped a ton. 👍🏼 keep up the good work
i have a set of projector lights on a 2004 dodge dakota and my signal light blinks fast like theres a bulb burnt but theres not. what could be the problem and also the high beam on it only gives out spots of light.
superwoofer95 What brand is the projector lights? If you have LED's that are blinking very then it is "Hyperflashing" This is caused by your vehicle thinking a light bulb is burnt out because the LEDs draw less power, this is corrected with a resistor that tricks the computer to think its a standard bulb. Let me know what brand and style of light and we can diagnose the issue from there. Thanks!
its not the LED's that are blinking really fast, its the signal light bulb. It's a Spyder Projector Headlight. here's a link of a picture of what they look like: www.spyderusa.com/spy/images/700/PRO-YD-DDAK97-CCFL-BK.jpg
Primary Line not sure what you mean by package. The lights come with everything you need to install them except for the solder and soldering gun. +Brandon Baker Those are called Scotch-locks. The Spyder lights are not our product we only sell them. If you need warranty or are missing parts I would suggest the seller or Spyder directly. if you need help with or have questions about the installation I will sure do my best to help you though.
+minzi2047 I have never done one myself, but I found this for you, hope it helps. www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/electronics/56683-how-removing-headlights-w202.html
We get pretty good feedback on Spyder headlights! If you check out specific lights from Spyder on our site, they have reviews from customers... www.realtruck.com/spyder/
+Christian Torres yes you can here is the info you need Part # 264H13HID H13 9008 Single Beam HID with 6,000 Kelvin Bulb & Extra Slim 35 Watt Impact & Water Resistant Ballasts
+Christian Torres im not an expert on the HID thing you're talking about but when i bought these spyder lights there was a caution sticker saying (no HID bulb allowed)... so yeah i dunno
+pascual, The grille came from a company called ground dynamics. We do not sell their products but they do have a website you can look at the different products they have available.
