This is crazy. I just finished watching Metal Complex's Top 50 knives of all time where he had the PM2 with these scales and I thought they were so nice. And now you post this! 😀 I'd never buy them and I don't even have PM2 but what a coincidence...
Built one with the same scales on one of the purple PM2s 2 weeks ago. I threw in some flytanium screws, standoffs and lanyard tube. My new favorite knife.
The timing of this video is actually perfect! I have just received these scales and hope to install them on a PM2 soon. Do you know if these will fit the PM2 Maxamet? Also, did you notice that one scale is slightly thicker than the other at the tail end? Thanks for another excellent video 😊
Maxamet has G10 Scales, just in a different color. Process should be the same as shown. PM2s with micarta scales might have full liners (instead of the "hidden" ones shown on this G10 model) which would cause problems with the scales.
@@mightyjosHi Cool. Thanks. Yes i know the Max has G10. But sometimes the internals and dimensions can me different between models so just wanted to be 100% sure before i ordered. I think the Max would look great with these scales due to the stonewash blade.
I'm going to get some of these for the tanto pm2. I have both the coated and uncoated version. Can't decide which one to do🤷🏻♂️. Maybe the black blade & I'll have the scales cerakoted 🤪$$😂
I just put these scales on my DLT purple scaled cruwear PM2. Not that I don’t like purple, just don’t like purple on that knife. I like these scales, plus they didn’t cost the price of another PM2.
is it possible to use standard aftermarket scales on teh PM2 "Crucarta" - instead of a nested liner it is full on that specimen, and curious if there are differences in scales... any help form any y'all would be appreciated
On the Flytanium site, they show the Lotus installed with blue-colored Torx screws. Where can I get these screws, anyone know? Didn't see the screws on their site.
I put carbon fiber Flytaniums on possibly the world's ugliest Tenacious ever made and it completely changed how I thought of that knife. Highly recommend.
