Hey everybody, Nick here! I'm a regular guy who happens to love nicely made tools for everyday living. I make reviews to separate the gems from the junk, and share with the rest of you. Enjoy!

Glad you’re still putting the disassembly videos out Mr. Shabazz; you’re the best out there; as well as the punniest. Having said that; I have a Benchmade Vector that I decided to de-assist; three years and several attempts later; it’s still disassembled. There’s something different about it compared to the barrages I’ve had. Maybe you could point me in the right direction.
Buying this as a car knife. Something I can use to cut food and eat with, open the odd package, cut labels off, remove threads from clothing and anything else when on the road. Small enough to stash away and not take up a lot of space and slim enough to not draw any attention for LE or if I use it to eat when in public view as it kind of just looks like a steak knife.
Nick! My man! Use your thumb and click the button with shorter intervals! I’m gonna go out on a limb and guess you’ve never played many video games. Love you!!!
My takeaway from this is this is an awesome knife that you don't want to disassemble lol I'm definitely looking for one of theses on the secondary, I see them at like 325 and I think at that price the knife is worth owning but retail is a bit high.
I sent the Aerospace B70 Orbiter back to Breitling Service yesterday to fix the hour hand losing time. I also asked them to do something about fixing the countdown timer/alarm beeper sound, but they probably won’t. Anyone know how to contact Breitling CEO, to let him know the new Aerospace has problems? Too bad, because the watch is beautiful and the B70 quartz movement is much better in other respects. It will be interesting to see how long this takes. They said two weeks for evaluation, then . . . ?
It’s an attractive knife, but I’ve handled one and it’s actually too thin for comfort…and the price. Yikes! It was really cool to see all the engineering that went into the design though!
I'm a hobby knife maker and have been at it for about 5 years. I'm sure my simple shop has 10k invested . 2x72 grinder, heat treatment oven, bandsaw, HRC tester, benches, wood stabilization equipment, it adds up fast. Each knife takes from 10-12 hrs to complete, and I use nothing but quality materials. I respect the time it takes to both design and manufacture a knife. I think we've gotten used to high volume, and overseas labor rates, blinding ourselves to the real cost of doing business inside the USA. That being said, I don't own a $500 dollar pocket knife, but I do have a collection of folders worth a couple thousand dollars, that I enjoy immensely. Quality things are costly to produce, and craftsmen should get a fair wage. This is a quality product, although I personally would choose a premium steel on this model.
I think you're giving BM too much credit. I think the only reason they iterated on the axis lock was because they needed something new to patent and claim as exciting, superior, and exclusive after every other company put them to shame when the old axis lock patent expired.
Regarding the toughness of K390 (way tougher than many realize), I think you probably COULD pry open a manhole cover with it! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-E-c3LxQbcqg.html
Funnily enough, I was looking into the Leek and went straight for your review before buying it. It's what I was looking for in a knife, and you give the most entertaining and comprehensive reviews I've come across. I've watched reviews for products that I found interesting, but will never actually buy, just to see what you thought about them keep up the great work man
Hey Nick I know you probably won't see this but I used to watch you all the time, I understand you have a full-time job and RU-vid is your side job, but at the same time you need to review a lot more knives, I heard you say in one of the last videos that there's not a lot out there but that's totally wrong there's companies that are producing extremely nice knives that people like you should be reviewing. Also what happened to terrible knives? That was my favorite thing to watch and I guess you just stopped doing it. I don't know Nick I don't want this to come off rude because I love watching your videos and you are extremely funny but at the same time I get no value out of watching you review a $2,000 knife that I can't afford.
the handle shape of the original buck knives was more edgy, not rounded off. buck designed them that way for better grip. as an example look at the pakistani knock offs from the 70s. the byrd knives scales have more of an edge achieving the same result. buck rounded off the edges by request from knife buyers. i love my byrd knives. i own both the delica and the meadowlark. if i handle them both with my eyes closed i can not tell the difference in feel. in 2024 the delica is around $95. the byrds around $35. im going to keep buying byrds for my collection. sorry nick.
I had a friends knife I was cleaning and sharpening and although its a different design my memory of taking it apart plus you vid mad it easy to reassemble. Thanks :)
With Nano-Oil its as much about the method of delivery as it is the actual lubricant. Select your weight, whip out the correlating needle applicator. Done. It's fast, efficient and convenient.
I am lucky enough to get tontalkntonstan every year at blade, and have talked about nff's a bitnof that, hes a master and an absolutely incredibly nice guy!
Does anyone know if the Hapstone push-pull rod is the same diameter as the TSPROF rod (i.e., 6 mm)? I have the TS-Kadet and I also purchased some stones that are flat ended, so they don't fit well in the TSPROF holder (not dovetailed). I need a stone holder like this one, but when I asked TSPROF about it, they couldn't direct me to the holder and said to just put the flat end stone in the dovetailed holder. That literally doesn't sit well. TSPROF is a great tool but their support are parts availability are a bit lacking.
I referred this video to my local Community College. The administrators have voted to add a Certificate in Delica Studies. Nick, will it be OK if the school invites you to speak at commencement? The Dean agreed you could wear the Batman mask if you'd like to.
I have no earthly idea why I'm watching a review of a $500 + knife. I actually know why I'm watching this. I like Nick's reviews. I can see no reason that I would ever buy a Benchmade knife with their current prices. I can get a perfectly good Spyderco, ZT, or WE for less money and at least as good or better quality.
I happen to be shopping for chainsaws. You can buy a U.S.-made 20" Stihl chainsaw for $500.00. I can't believe that the cost of manufacturing this knife is anywhere close to the cost of manufactuing a chainsaw. Think of the relative amount of cutting per dollar!
I solved the spring problem by looping some thread through the spring then pulling the spring back and tying the thread around the pocket clip to hold it back out of the way. Installed the blade and pivot then removed the thread. Worked like a charm. And thank you for the objective review, high price notwithstanding.
Hey nick! Thank you for all your work i try to follow you and your video as much as i can! You are a king in anysing and ecaluating a knife and most of it honnest and great to watch before buying a knife! But i am from the deep north of Canada and here Surving knife ex: Condor Matt Grahm is carried all the time and every 1 having a pocket knife! That is why 5 years ago after taking my ritement after 31 year of being an officer Fire Fighter specialist in rescues and special Emergencies interventions, i decidef to become a sharpener and collector of all sorts of knives(over 150 of them yet) But the reason i am writing to you is i got the Citius 4 -5 months ago same time i received the Ruike collection including the great P135! And i think you went a bit hard on the citius that i am wearing right now. First i realy like the less large blade cause it goes anywhere tight rope, tape, boxes etc.., i love back fleeping and tumb fliping also! The weight of it, u said after this video you will forget about it but me many time i forget that i am wearing it so confortable and light it is! With deep carrying and ball bearings, 9CV, All number 8 screws and finaly so easy to sharp (i redone it 600 grit 2 min) Man i have been using this knife for at least 2 - 3 months now and when i say use it i realy meen using it, and beside 4 - 5 ceramic Lansky rods touch up and 1 min stoping it is back like new! I am waiting for my new Praxi (Black and Gold)and CIVIVI BlueTick this week, i hope i did not miss your video on those! Thanks again for your Great work and professionalism! Frank from The Dep North!
When you said 'A regular zippo insert sucks'. That means that you have absolutely zero understanding of the value of a zippo. And i ain't kidding on that.
