Anyone thinking about adding the factory Ford Tremor front air dam valance, must watch this video first and familiarize themselves pre install. What is goinnnnnng on family!?!?!? Hope you all are well and staying safe. I am really contemplating ordering this for my rig. I think this is going to be a nice add-on for anyone trying to change the look of their truck at a cheep price & most certainly looking for that OE look. Tell me what you think, are you getting it? I would much rather buy a security device engineered and built by a certified Ford mechanic that knows the flaws and how to fill them, then by some car alarm company that really doesn’t know how the current system works. Your peeps will stand behind you and any products you recommend. I will say this again……FORD……are you paying attention to this guy ? You NEED him in your product development department, don’t be foolish, he actually cares.

I also added the Tremor valance to my 2021 F350 because I live in northeast Wisconsin and I saw the stock valance as possibly being trashed if I bump into some frozen snow that we get up here and I prefer the look so much.

I did this to my 2020 F-350 and today I'm ordering this valance for my 2022 that I just received on 4/11/22. I am also adding a Steelcraft 50-1380C Brush Guard and a Curt 31078 front hitch receiver. The Tremor valance fits both the brush guard and hitch, but I've never installed all three together. I'm looking forward to no cutting and a clean look. Yes, I'll loose 2mpg due to the aerodynamic drag at freeway speeds, but that's the price I pay for putting my trucks to work. A lift isn't needed if you have the snowplow springs, but I highly recommend parking on a tarp so nothing gets lost. Even a big guy like me can easily get under here and do this job. While I'm at it I'll install my Tremor grill and emblem and LED bulbs. I will have to program my (Platinum) LED fog lights using FORSCAN.

I traced out a line 3" below the bumper then trimmed it off with a vibrating trim saw. Little bit of final sanding the edge and it turned out pretty well.

I know it hurts fuel eco, but this looks SOO much better on the Dutys and the F150s when that front valance is trimmed or changed to that Tremor version.

Hi there!! This is a nice swap out. I have an F350 7.3l xlt coming soon that was special ordered. I'll just have to see if this swap out is something I want to do. We do live in CO and the truck will be used on Forest Service and BLM roads frequently.

I bought the 2 wheel drive valance. It’s in between the tremor and stock 4 wheel drive valance. I am waiting for my 22 to put it on. Another great video Arod…..👍🏼

Just added a new valance. I added the 2 wheel drive instead of the Tremor. My 2020 F250 with an 8" lift looks much better with the 2 wheel drive valance. The Tremor was just a little too small plus the 2 wheel drive valance is cheaper and the original was just way too big. Thanks again for the tips!

I really love this valance. My truck looks alot higher and I could care less about mileage. Installed a Boral S-Type cat back exhaust and my Godzilla rocks. Thanks again for your install vedio. It went so smooth. @@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod

Thanks A-Rod. I have been thinking about doing this mod on my 2020. I checked my FordPass Rewards balance and found out i have enough to get one free so went to my dealer today and had them order it. Worst case if the gas mileage sucks or I want to go back I can easily do that. I'll give it a shot but I think it definitely looks better with the smaller one. Another benefit is that it is easier to get under the front of the truck for visual inspections or greasing the front joints.

I love the tremor and 2wd valances. I installed the 2wd on my '21 6.7, and lost about 1 mpg on the highway, I put the 4wd one back on :(

Very interesting video. My '21 just arrived about a week ago. My wife saw it for the first time this Saturday, and was commenting on that very substantial valance. Now after watching this video, I think I'll be doing the same thing to my truck. Which brings me to the question of why such a wide and substantial valance in the first place? It seems to reduce ground clearance by quite a bit. But before that, I now need to unload my '16 before I take delivery of my '21.

My Father in law bought a new 2008 Chevy 1500 4x4 long time ago. Went out to his mining claims and mentioned how his scrapes off road. I recommended a leveling kit and to remove the big and low front valance altogether and it was getting destroyed and ragged anyway. Today he has leveling spacers and the same ragged valence robbing him of ground clearance. Sometimes the solution is just very simple. Those spacer he put on are Janky. I replaced his struts a few years back and had to transfer those to his new struts a year ago.

Can't do it on 17-19 I had to do the 2wd one my truck has wiring that mounts to the bottom of the bumper that would hang below the tremor one.

For those of you commenting about why people would swap it. I did it for approach angle offroad. When your driving down a rutted out dirt road, it’s a huge deal having the extra front clearance. Not for everyone but for people doing a lot of back country driving, it can be a huge benefit over the stock one.

Where we live after yesterday my valance is pure white with salt. I think if it wasn't so wide all that salt would be on the front components and axle. Just my two thoughts.

What power tools and socket sets do you need for this install? I'm looking at Milwaukee impact drivers but not sure if I need the M12 or M18 1/4 or 1/2 in impact driver or if there's a universal option that can cover everything. Thanks and great video!

I have a 2020 Tremor with a Boss snowplow. The Tremor valance fits right above the plow undercarriage with no cutting required.

@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod .. not so sure about that. My 350 dually FX4 did not have them from the factory. And I do not have the plow kit. And I dont think the factory tremors (which are taller) have them either. So if safety devices, wouldn’t all models have them?

Do you even need the valence at all? I was looking at my 2923 F250 FX4 and the valance looks like the lowest grind clearance piece. I was considering just removing it…also what are the two brackets that were removed actually for? I don’t see any purpose…

I went with the 2 wheel drive valance, I think it looks better than the Tremor version. And instead of removing the "Prius catcher" brackets, I shortened them enough by trimming the end of the brackets so they're concealed

I do agree that it looks great, but does it perform better or not? I believe in, Form follows Function. Does the truck run hotter? Does it get better fuel economy? What are the ups and downs of doing this mod? I pull with my 6.7 PS, so I don’t want to do something that would hamper my performance.

I don’t have the plow kit, it’s a STX dually FX4 .. no fangs to catch the small cars I drive over. I’m sure there’s a purpose .. maybe something to do with mode of shipping train vs truck?? I installed the 2wd version and it looks so much better.

I just ordered mine today to swap out. I'm installing a snow plow (western) and will have to cut out sections of the valance for the brackets and thought having a smaller valance might make that look less crappy for the other 9 months of the year. anyone else doing it for that reason? I contemplated just removing the big one in the winter and putting it back on in the spring....

I love the big valance on my 20 F-250 4x4. It makes the front end look big and menacing. Don't get why people make such a big deal with it. I think it's money wasted to change it up, but to each their own.

I test drove a used 22 F350 Diesel a few months ago at a Ford dealership near Detroit. I noticed two large crudely cut notches in that big ole lower front valance. I asked the sales guy what happened. I suspected they were for a snow plow but I honestly was not sure as I am not a native Michigander and dont know shite about snow. This guy told me that all the old guys are doing that to improve fuel mileage. I laughed out loud, he didnt, and I realized he was dead serious so I just moved on to the test drive. I asked him again inside the showroom in front of some other salesman and he doubled down on the fuel mileage story and nobody corrected him. I hope someone educated him after I left.
