Would it be easier to just install the bases on the trunk, then put the assembled top part of wing on?

Did you do anything extra when it comes to weather sealing? To prevent future leaking?

I bought mine from JD muscle and they include like a sealing tape, I think it prevents the water and whistling

Yes it comes with the sealing tape.

Did you use different hardware than supplied to mount to the trunk? The supplied bolts are shorter and require you to drill a larger hole through the bottom of the trunk but looks like you used longer bolts with washers instead.

I did use longer bolts just because I didn’t have the right tool for it.
