On this video i am installing the TMS module on my left hand headlamp without removing wheel fender liner.my angel lights would turn off and trigger a daytime running lights malfunction message on cluster.#carrepair #bmw #halolights
Correction: It worked perfectly and solved the left turn, angel light and adaptive headlight adjust. But the headlight adjustment did require initialization with the Autel tool. Done in 5 minutes by my mechanic.
This worked perfectly on a 2012 BMW 535i !!! No coding required. It’s definitely easier if you remove the wheel to get to the cover. A small torx 20 socket will help for the right screw. My mechanic did it for $60. Everything works perfectly. The old unit had only minor marks. I guess the condensation just wears out the connection somehow. Anyway - well worth replacing.
I have warning lights on my dash.. adaptive/ rings and indicator not working drivers side. Took the cap off the top and that has been good for getting rid of the condensation. But there was a lot of water in the light it's self.. I'm thinking of doing this fix first before taking the headlight out, and doing a full repair at a big cost.. Hope yours is still working. Did you have the adaptive lights,? Anything is better than replacing the lights at a grand a corner..🤦🏻
Unfortunately you'll have to remove your headlight and replace the lens. I've had to do this on mine as it destroyed the TMS module. There was water pouring out of the plug when I unplugged it! The hardest part was trying to clear all the old sealant out of the groove but I managed to get a pair of replacement lenses for £60 off eBay.
@@mohammedalhosni2111 hi Mohammed. I have not actually got the TMS module yet, but there are plenty of places to buy one. In the UK here, there is obviously sellers on Amazon and eBay and there are auto parts stores on line too.. Just make sure you get the right one for yourself. I have to get the one that's adaptive, it's called AMS officially. Hope that's helpful..
