@@TJ-md2jl I ordered yesterday. I found a coupon code on the Internet. I don’t know if it’s going to be as good as the one that you just put on here but it worked. My order will be here next Wednesday. Can’t wait to install.
Just a heads up I should have flipped the tank so that the drain was facing down I plan to flip the tank off camera, I’m sure I will get chewed in the comments but I’m not perfect. I will get you guys a update later. Thanks for watching the videos everyone 👍
Haha shit I wish I watched this first. I put the tank on up side down too watching this. Other then that great vid man. I'm currently installing the delete kit aswell.
The horns look terrible hanging under the rear of the truck like that. I've installed a bunch of these and they are always 100% hidden and totally tucked up under the vehicle. The power wire should always run either directly to the battery or distribution box under the hood. Hooking up to your amplifier is a hack job. Do it clean or don't do it at all.
I understand the spare tire carrier cable has a habit of rusting through. It’s never happened to me but I don’t live in the rust belt either. This is upgrade I’m making specifically for those on their cel phone while driving.
Yeah just have to tap into your horn wire on wheel with the wire that runs to the horn, of course it would be a good idea to put a switch in the wire to turn off train horn and just use stock horn
Awesome video Man U earned yourself a new subscriber! I just ordered this same set today n used ur discount code saved some cash thank you! Can’t wait to install this to my truck 😁
Now that some time has went by, how do these hold up? Want to mount in the same location but I’m wondering if winter would cause any issues salt/freezing temps. Thx
Does this kit allow you to relocate the compressor to for example inside the bed and the horns toward the front of your truck? I’m totally novice and learning
I don't no if u fixed this or not but with your drain n release are actually not doing anything for u face up towards the truck they should be facing the ground
I just bought a used set off a guy but don't have wiring. I have an amp as well that run my subs. I like your set up can you tell where you attached the solenoid wires that activate the horns.
Is the toggle switch the same switch to action the horns or are there 2 separate switches? If so where is the toggle switch connected to? And the horns action switch to?
Josh, Amigo!! I have a request!! Do you still have that chinese piece of junk horn? Remember how it didn't sound too bad when you ran 150 PSI from your air compressor? I was just thinking... Do you have a nitrous bottle laying around? Or know someone who does? At temperature, those nitrous bottles are around 900 PSI, give or take... I think you can use your imagination with that...
Have a ‘07 duramax classic, which one you recommend for air tools / air bags / horns? Will be mounting in spare tire delete.... have 37’s so not using the space. Thank you for your service and help!
Any regrets pointing those backwards? I imagine when I want to blast someone, they are in front of me, not behind. I want a train horn set up because I tow a 5er and idiots lane dive on me all the time, not realizing that I can’t brake as quickly as they expect me to.
Me im usin a 7gal military MRAP airtank they use fer air brakes and tools fer my truck the tank mounted under my drivers side back door fer horn and air tools just wish was able to add pic to show the set up
The bad thing about mounting your horns on the rear axle is that in rain or snow, your horns get crapped on and the horns get back filled with mud and dirty water. And as a typical Hillbilly, you drive all around creation without a spare. So when you eventually do get a flat tire. It's midnight, rainy, cold, and not in a good and safe neighborhood. So you jack up your truck. take the flat tire off the axle. and install your train horn assembly and drive on home. I know a backwoods Hillbilly woman who drives her Chevy pickup with 4 bald tires all around the county. Welp, when she left the bar and walked into the parking lot, she found that she had a flat tire - and 34 miles away from home. She asked me if she could "borrow" my Ford F-150 spare tire? Now how stupid is that? Ford wheels don't fit Chevy, and Chevy wheels don't fit Ford. And besides, IF the wheels were interchangeable, how dumb would I be to let her "borrow" my spare. and 2 miles down the road - I get a flat. And she's 34 miles away riding on my spare tire. And how long would it be before she gets her flat bald tire fixed? A week? A month? She passes by a junk yard twice everyday. Why don't she stop and buy another bald tire and wheel, and toss in the back of her Hillbilly jalopy?
Putting your drain valve on top of the tank defeats the purpose of the drain valve bud. The drain valve is there so you can drain the moisture buildup out of the tank. That should be at the lowest point on the bottom of the tank. You don’t want to be pushing any nasty water through your system.. Water will turn into ice in the colder months..
Yeah, like an idiot, I opened my mouth and didn’t see or read the comment you wrote about flipping the tank around before I wrote my comment. Just trying to look out for a fellow truck enthusiast. I just bought my horn setup so I know how expensive they are.. Love the channel 👍🏼🤘🏻
