Pulled up next to a FZ09 yesterday and his crossplane 3 banger sounded BADA$$! I was on my KTM SMCR and he was in a hurry so didn't get the details on what pipe he was running. So now I'm exhaust shopping for my 17 R1S. The TBR S1R is a tad loud but your video put it to the top of my list. Easy install, no screwing with tuning, and good price. My main goals are that sweet crossplane sound and better throttle behavior (less choppy). Thanks
Hey buddy thanks! I have went 5k miles without touching the servo motor. Not sure if I’ll end up doing it or not? Waiting for a tune to be available for the 2020 so I can get some more power!
Are you concerned there is no ecu flash available for the 2020+ models yet? I have the same bike, but running an AR DeCat GP1R exhaust. I don't push it hard, but hoping a tune comes soon.
I’m over 5,000 miles with this setup so far. I don’t even have the servo buddy installed. I certainly haven’t been taking it easy on the bike either. I am thinking maybe of getting a power commander for now and doing a dyno tune and an intake. Or I may just leave it as is since it’s doing well. I say enjoy your bike and let the computer do what it can to keep you safe. You could always check your AFR if you’re worried.
@@badass1g I threw mine on the dyno and it is running lean. Certainly not much performance gains without a tune. Power commander will only help up top from what I hear.
@@WideOpenThrottle1984 aww it’s good you checked then. I am at higher altitude and my tuners explained that I should be just fine. But the tune will help smooth out some flat spots and also give a little more power. It’s only $299 for the PC, that would atleast give you a bump in power and you’d know you aren’t running lean anymore. You can sell it if and when they finally do a flash one of these days lol.
@@WideOpenThrottle1984 it looks like it can also be beneficial in the lower RPM’s check out this dyno video. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YjeI9lk33QI.html
@@WideOpenThrottle1984 looks like they got up to 185. So 20+ from stock. Not bad for a power commander ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bdzCNF0cLFE.html
