When the end of a roll meets another roll, overlap them a little and double cut both of them for a perfect fit. Then tape the seam.

Also a black or white marker helps trace any profile. Then cut with scissors.

I really hope the saying goes here also that there's no such question as a dumb question, because I have a question LOL. This will be the first time me and my husband are laying our own laminate in the entire home do we need two underlayments? I don't know why I'm confused because you explained everything perfectly. I hope you get this question or someone does. By the way, my sub floor is plywood.

Hello Ray Ray. Quick question, I have tile over a cement slab, and I see you have plastic also. I purchased some really good underlayment. Is it still safer to put the plastic also? I luv the video because it is so easy to follow for beginners like myself

As long you are level(very important) you should not have any problems. It works for me. I hope that helps.

Hi, thanks for your great video. I was about to buy the same QuietWalk underlayment and put it on the concrete slab and then install engineering hardwood. Do I have to add the poly sheet between the concrete slab and QuietWalk underlayment that already has a layer of moisture or vapor protection barrier according to the product instructions? I am in FL though. Thanks

I guess the plastic sheet serves the purpose of the foil layer, but doesn't underlayment get laid shiny side down? Not sure if you mentioned this in the video or not. I find it easier than fighting against the roll.
