How to Install Waydroid on Linux Mint 21.1 Vera | Waydroid | Android in a Linux Container - A container-based approach to boot a full Android system on a regular GNU/Linux system like Ubuntu.
Still works quick and easy for cinnamon 21.3. Just know if you have your firewall enabled you may need to setup exception rules or waydroid won't have internet. The waydroid docs page has a section for networking issues, that solved it for me.
Hey bro it worked fine for me. But when I installed play store and opened it. It crashes and I install other android applications. They are not installing please help
I did every step jsut as described here but after executing weston, waydroid doesnt open!!! It's the second time it happens to me. I tried before on Lubuntu and waydroid has never started in my life. Why??????????????
Check the output of weston in your terminal. I get an error: "Unknown parameter: ?2004 exited" - and then nothing happens. Does anyone have a solution for this?
AFAIK Waydroid requires the desktop to run in Wayland instead of X11 to work properly. Since Cinnamon just started supporting Wayland recently, Linux Mint might still not work properly with Wayland and fallback to X11.
It won’t open. When I try to start it from the terminal “waydroid session start” to see what’s wrong I get this error: “[gbinder] WARNING: Service manager /dev/binder has died” Anyone know how to fix it?
I get an error: "Unknown parameter: ?2004 exited" in my terminal session in which I ran "weston" and then nothing happens. Does anyone have a solution for this?
i researched it a bit and if you are using a custom kernel such as xanmod or zen you might not have a menu show up you have to enter psi=1 into your grub or something i dont understand really
Hi! Thanks! I could start weston but when trying to launch Waydroid it says: "failed to start clipboard manager service, check logs" and doesn't launch
Help, I have a problem, I installed everything, apparently everything was ok, but although the icon is visible, when I click on it, nothing opens, in the terminal it appears as if it is running, but it does not appear anywhere, someone told me can you help? Thank you.
If you cannot launch Waydroid inside Weston, and you have a Nvidia GPU, that's the problem. You need to add these lines below the properties section in ' var/lib/waydroid/waydroid.cfg ' (remember opening your text editor with sudo command for elevated permissions): ro.hardware.gralloc=default ro.hardware.egl=swiftshader
