How To Install Windows 8.1 without a Product Key 2024.If you are going to install Windows 8.1 using a USB drive, transfer the installation files to the USB and then proceed to step 2.Windows 8.1 On the other hand if you need to create a DVD,Windows 8.1 open the ISO using a utility such as MagicISO so that the structure is not affected.
Browse to the /sources folder.Look for the ei.cfg file and open it in a text editor such as Notepad or Notepad++ (preferred).Windows 8.1 If the file doesn’t already exist, create a new text document and rename it as ei.cfg

Thanks mate, your instructions still work as of today ( 8th September 2023 ) ...and for those who have commented saying they are getting a message 'Not Enough Space' make sure you're using an 8gb USB. Maybe you're getting the error because the pen drive is too small storage capacity? Just a suggestion worth double checking

to everyone having the issue that "there is not enough space" to paste the ei.cnf file, you are pasting it into the wrong drive. Rufus creates a bootable drive for you - make sure you paste it into the sources folder in that drive and NOT the one in your USB flash drive. also make sure you save the folder as all types so you don't have it ended in .txt

It didn't work out initially, but realized I left it as ei.cfg.txt and that's how it should be. The file should be saved as ei.cfg

hi i have a old lenovo laptop (v130-15ikb) it has windows 8.1 pro and its asking something abt product key i want to upgrade to windows 10 basically i am a new user laptop .idk much abt this .and the microsoft store and other microsoft apps are not opening.i have to install apks but some apk not installing its saying "the program does not support the version of windows your computer is running" and its saying activate windows please help me i'd really appreciate it

First off APK stands for App pack which you get off of Play store or on your web browser. Second your executables (exe) do not run on your version of windows because each exe file has different requirements.

para las personas que no les funciona, si lo quereis para arrancar un ordenador desde ese archivo iso, puedes usar el programa yumi(el que yo he usado) y como copia los archivos al usb, despues si se puede añadir el archivo sin problemas de espacio si lo quieres para una maquina virtual para provarlo (mi caso) aun no he visto la solucion jajajj for the people that it doesn't work, if you want to boot a computer from that iso file, you can use the yumi program (the one I used) and as it copies the files to the usb, then you can add the file without space problems. if you want it for a virtual machine to test it (my case) I have not yet seen the solution jajajj 28/07/2023

Please make sure that you save it as cfg file. When saving the file, don't leave it as txt but select ALL FILES
