DIY TJM snorkel installation / Tailwedge type Snorkel / Mitsubishi TRITON.
DISCLAIMER: Im not a professional mechanic. But had a basic knowledge on 4x4 trucks.
I used my own funds to make this video and never been paid or sponsored to create this step by step installation video.
If doubt on DYI please I highly recommend to hire a professional mechanic to do the snorkel installation.

Thanks for the video. What stops water coming in to the air box from the two rectangular covers that the foam pads in the adapter tube. Point 9 in the fitting instruction manual ?

Hi. You need to apply a silicone on each of the pad edges and cured it about 24hrs. Sorry for first few minutes of my video the audio is gone due to copyrights. Anyways apply a silicone generously on each rectangular edges and every connections until through the airbox. Hope that helps. Have a great day 😊

Hi how's going. I'm running kumho 265 /70 R17 MT . I don't like the noise when I'm running around 80km to 90 to loud. But around 100km above it will be alright. Then when MT tyres were almost worn out you can feel the vibration at first I thought it needs wheel alignment but it's the tyre itself causing it. If most of the time your driving it daily at work will prefer AT. Aside from that Kumho it's a great one haven't change it for 3 years now been running it from Perth to Darwin several times. Probably soon. Cheers

Thank you for letting me know. I,ve edit the video again through youtube cause it has a music copyright. And now it ruined my audio voice aswell😪😪😪

Hi mate what was the rubber seal for at the start of the vid? I didn’t see you use it. Also how long did it take to fit and the adaptor with the two plastic panels you pulled off did you just put silicone in there and clip them back on or did it come with some gaskets? Cheers mate

Hi thank you for your comment. About the silicone, ive attached the two gasket that comes with the kit, then put the cover back and cured it over night. Then fit it back the next day. The rubber seal ive end up not using it. Planning to fit it at the 98mm hole to avoid rubbing the metal to the plastic surface of the snorkle. But its too tight for 98mm. Cheers mate.

Awesome mate I haven’t got mine yet but I should have it tomorrow to start on the weekend , if I need to ask anything else I’ll message you! So if I was to fit it Saturday you reckon start it Friday and seal stuff so it’s cured ready to fit the next day? Thanks mate 🙂👍
