Hello, Do you know how to add a sensor in HA to monitor when a new update is released for the bond controller?

Do you know how to add the Breeze / Random options to HA? I am using a shell command to run an API call via curl at the moment.

I'm not really sure. If you haven't I would ask over on the bond forum: forum.bondhome.io/

work with 350mhz fans?

The Bond Bridge and Pro support RF frequencies in the 300-450MHZ range. olibra.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/18927213862939--Bond-Bridge-Pro-Setting-up-non-smart-fans-lights-and-generic-devices

great video! is it strictly 433mhz?

Great question, the answer is yes! Off of their support website: "The Bond Bridge supports devices that are controlled by RF remotes within the radio frequency range of 300-450mhz for RF and IR devices that use 38kHz OOK modulation." @@BeardedTechGuy wouldn't that be "the answer is no... it is not strictly 433MHz" ?

Would you be willing to do a compare/contrast video with Bond Bridge and Broadlink at some point?
@BeardedTechGuy
@BeardedTechGuy 11 месяцев назад
If I get the opportunity to I will! A quick look seems like the major difference is that the broadlink is only 433MHz while the bond bridge supports 300-450mhz for RF and IR devices that use 38kHz OOK modulation. Bond bridge also has a community where the developers are active which is not the case for broadlink.

Great video as always, does this mean you’ve moved on from SmartThings??

I still have most of my devices on SmartThings but its looking like the time to switch is destined to be soon. 😱

I'm not following the wiring -- can you clarify? You said the fan and the switch are not hardwired together. And which Inovelli switch is that?
@BeardedTechGuy
@BeardedTechGuy 5 месяцев назад
The light switch is an Inovelli Red Series Dimmer switch (amzn.to/4b9SPgL) but you can use any light switch that can be controlled through Home Assistant. The light switch is hardwired to power and does not have anything on load (power goes to nothing from the light switch). The ceiling fan is hardwired to power without a switch on it. It is only controllable via a remote (and in this case the bond bridge). Hope that helps!

Can the bond bridge control a fan LED light's brightness & color temperature via home assistant? (LED light birghtness & temp are currently controlled over the factory remote)
@napalmdotnet

It can half-ass control the LED brightness by telling it to dim or brighten, but not at a set level.

I have Bond visible in Home Assistant. But I want to be able to control the fan speed. All i have is on and off buttons. So it's 100% or nothing. Any idea how I get that to work?
@BeardedTechGuy
@BeardedTechGuy 9 месяцев назад
In the bond app are you able to control the fan speed and if yes, is it just a single toggle or do you have different speed buttons?
@Teeurbo
@Teeurbo 9 месяцев назад
@@BeardedTechGuy I have 6 different speed buttons in the bond app. So 8 buttons total. Speeds 1-6, Off, Reverse However I only get on/off in HA and the reverse direction button.

Can you try clicking on the icon / name for the fan (not the toggle) within HA? imgur.com/Yy2mggs Doing so should present fan speed options: imgur.com/DqgeJi6
