How to invisibly decrease stitches (dec) in crochet

In this video, I'll show you how to do the invisible decrease (dec) when crocheting in the round. The invisible decrease is an important technique if you want your amigurumi to have clean edges. This technique slightly differs from a regular decrease stitch, which is also abbreviated dec, because the invisible decrease blends in much better with other stitches, and is not obvious to the trained eye.

Tell me why I was convinced that this was done through the back loops rather than than the front loops despite learning from this exact video over a month ago 💀 No wonder I’ve been having so much difficulty when decreasing.

I thought that aswell I also have no idea why-

Same happened to me... I get so excited learning something that I usually forget to pay attention. I thought I had to grab the yarn into all the loops and I just realised I had to get all the loops together before that

I swear there's a video out there saying its through the back loops because I remember watching the video and thinking "thats so weird, it's supposed to be invisible on the outside, why not using the front loops🤔"

She / he (I don't have sound sorry) showed at the end where it was wrong cause it was pulling some yarn then you continue on the next hook then the image cut at the perfect hook, where you're supposed to single crochet. 😊

Hello i love how you explain its a lot easier to understand thank you ..also may i ask what kind of yarn are you using ?
@supernova622
@supernova622 5 месяцев назад
It's a single strand yarn similar to what comes in their amigurumi kits, good for beginners because the yarn can't split

I am working in yarn under, can anyone say of there is any adjustment I need to make for my invisible decrease?
@evelyne1307

I don't get it, when I work that's not how my piece is placed so I can't really do the invisible decrease. Like, idk how to explain, but my hook is on the opposite side while I work, everything is in the same position but I'm looking into the piece insteadof the side of it, if that makes sense. How would I go about making an invisible decrease then?

Assuming you are following a Woobles pattern, or a similar amigurumi pattern, did you turn your piece inside out yet so the correct side is facing out?

I just realised I've been doing normal decreases but just with the front loop i thought i was correct🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠 oh god

Following the woofers book and it doesn’t say which decrease to use 🤦🏻‍♀️ also, the book didn’t even tell us to flip the pattern inside out 😪
