I've watched five videos in a row on how to apply an iron-on patch. Everyone else suggests a pressing cloth or a T-shirt. You are the only one to suggest a piece of parchment paper. This is genius! I'm about to iron on a ton of patches to a varsity jacket for my daughter. I was stressing over what to use as a "pressing cloth". The parchment paper worked fabulous and I appreciate the suggestion!
@@coolbrogoodstory7955 I made a special varsity jacket for my daughter with patches that represent her, her interests, and personality for her birthday. It took a lot of time and money!
@@coolbrogoodstory7955 cause she probably wanted it to be as close to perfect as it could be, it, being a gift from a mother to a daughter. something like that ;p as soon as u have family of your own or someone you care deeply about, youll understand
If you spoiled the iron on material on back of patch, you can use clear tacky glue or fabric glue. I used glue to adhere patches on my daughter's GS vests.
wikiHow, I love your short but important/vital to the point video over other video that in essence say the same thing but it's long and drag out. Thanks from a new subscriber and fan.
You likely peeled off the glue. The plastic that you are supposed to peel off is on the front of the patch, which protects the patch until it is ready to be used. She definitely should be more clear about that. Sorry your patch was ruined!
Yes I also did same Please don't remove the back guys. But it may depend on Ur particular patch but my patch requires back filim to stay attached as it will heat and stick
Your instructions were inaccurate, my patch doesn't work anymore because I peeled the back part as you said, then later finding out it will serve as a glue to stick to the garment.
The question I have is, if it is an iron that has a steam function and it has a place to put water in, do I need to put water in even if I may not be using the water and or steam function?
Don’t peel it off, for a lot of patches that is the adhesive, I’ve been doing patches for a very long time and never known a patch to have a peel off back x
@@patricknowacki9675yeah but sometimes when you ask a tailor shop to iron on a patch for you they do a monkey ass job. So by ironing it on it makes the positioning of it a snap, and you won't have to worry about them sewing it on off-centered.
