Trolley / floor jack sill adaptor
Use this to avoid damaging the sill / pinch weld on your car when jacking.

A pair of 2 or 3 ton Axle stands / Jack stands

I really like the ratcheting type axle / Jack stands. The max height of these matches well with the lift height of the jack above.
Breaker / Strong bar (1/2” drive) 450mm long

I’ve never needed a bar longer than 450mm. ½” drive ensures it fits the most common large socket sizes. Speaking of which ↓
½” Drive socket set (including a ½” drive ratchet) - Ah man, this link is making me want a new socket set! Has the all important 16 & 18mm sockets that you will need and not all sets have them included!

Large torque wrench - Go for one with a ½” drive. You don’t need an expensive one for occasional home mechanic use

This video with show you plenty of hints and tips, like making sure that you loosened the wheel / lug nuts on your car before jacking it up (much safer and easier this way!) and placing the wheel that you removed under the car as an additional safety measure while you are working under the car.
Jacking positions on the cross member were shown for a BMW Z4 (E86) and a Mercedes CLK W209. The correct position for jacking on a front sill was shown for an Audi B8 S4.
The torque setting on the torque wrench used in this video (for tightening the wheel nuts) was 120Nm, which is the correct amount for the Audi B8 S4 that featured in this video.
