NOTE: There was something he didnt discuss here that happened to me that might happen to you. If you go to the webpage and click GoldHen and start the process and it says "Not Enough System Memory." This is NORMAL and just click ok and wait for the screen to popup the next step. Inster the USB Flash Drive and wait for it to say its unsupported and wait for it to make the notification go away. Remove the USB Flash Drive. Then click ok. You get ANOTHER "Not Enough System Memory." notification. AGAIN this is NORMAL. Click ok and let it finish until you see the GoldHen Notification and then it will say You're all set! IC dont know why with some people they get the "Not Enough System Memory" but some do and thats ok it will still work. Of course I would still double check your system memory FIRST before starting this jailbreak just to make sure your storage isnt completely full.

Only just recently exposed to HEN after picking up a slim PS3 followed your guide on that too, only used full CFW before. Had to use the furthest down usb port, or if its sitting horizontally, the usb port all the way to the right. Worked fine after that. The whole thing shut down and restarted and has the hen in the software information now. Thanks and great tutorial.

Hey guys, I tried this out, but I'm always getting an error when opening the users guide: "ERROR: 0x00000006 SSLerror: 0x00000000 Couldn't resolve hostname ok" I've tried using DHCP and the manual DNS settings but also a static IP outside the DHCP range. And of course I've put in the DNS servers correctly, multiple times. Does anyone have an answer?
Hey I found it was doing this due to me being on WiFi. Would just not work otherwise, so had to setup an Ethernet connection to PS4. Then from there I went to a web browser and entered the IP address manually, one worked other didn't.
For flashing the img file, I like to use 'USB Image Tool' instead. It will only list flash media (flash drives or SD cards) so there is little worry about accidentaly overwriting your external hard drives. Anyways, Thanks for the tutorial. 👍
I got to the section where I tested my connection, it said I’m connected but Nat type failed etc. and when I went to go on users guide I just get a “cannot connect to the server” error. Has anyone has this issue and knows a fix or workaround?
@@supersonicmario56 if in the past you had already used Jailbreak on your ps4 there are chances you installed the util to stop access to PSN. Try just connecting to the internet without altering the DNS addresses.
@@ArikIkirA i havent used jailbreak before but if i am not changing dns setting then it works fine but when i changed it it shows nat type and connecton failed ,, i think dns have changed as this video is about a month old
@@arsalankhan364 just be careful with updates and bans DNS are essentially to lock you out of PSN to not get the console updated or banned (which can still happen if the game use its own server and then send packages to PSN)
I'm not sure I'm having a hardware issue but, I haven't been able to get a single game in a playable state for some reason. Every game I try has terrible graphical artifacts or just an unplayable framerate. Some games outright won't open at all. I know the games I'm trying are "compatible" but none have really worked. I have a launch PS4 from 2013 if that means anything, I just hope it's not a hw issue. 😬

Another amazing tutorial as always! Before I jailbreak though, do you know if it is possible to remove the jailbreak if I later change my mind and want to play online? Its good to see high firmware jailbreaks it means its much easier to buy a ps4 of ebay and be able to jailbreak it theres a very good chance that someone who is selling their console hasn't played it in months therefore they may not of updated it i remember back in the day it was difficult to get a hold of a low firmware console

Upon getting to the exploit menu I see no option for ps4 9.00. I am on firmware 9.00 and set the DNS am I missing something? Thanks again for all your help

Hey there everyone, i am sadly having an issue that when I insert the USB it starts blinking indicating it has activity and then after a while the PS4 turns off in an instant, what can I do?
@@rickyarinugraha What worked for me is using a newer ish usb stick, even try multiple ones, i think the fault with me was my usb stick not working fast enough for the hack to work (used a older 4gb stick at first then a 32gb one from sandisk), good luck!
I can not connect to cthugha exploit page after i changed the DNS servers. I have triple checked the ips. I get a "could not connect to server" followed by "WV-33898-1" error.
DNA resolve names to IPs. It is possible the servers aren't configured as actually full fledged DNS. You could just use one of suggested DNS as your primary then used a public (Google's or Cloudfare's) as the secondary. Note doing this may lead to getting updates pushed to your console. Disable auto updates.
I keep getting a message saying "There is not enough free system memory" when I tap on GoldHEN when I have almost 800gb free, any suggestions? EDIT: It worked after trying multiple times
Thanks for letting me know. I got the same error after removing the drive the first time which shut down the ps4. Then again the second time I got the error after clicking the 9.00 hen and again when I unplugged the USB drive. Worked on the third try though

However, I have a problem: my PS4 is jailbroken, but because of the DNS the PS4 no longer connects to the Internet. It is as if no network is detected, yet I am well connected to the Internet. Looks like DNS is blocking all internet access (when testing connection, "failed" appears next to "NAT type" and "connection speed" ... I don't know what to do. Before, no problem but after the actualization (7.55=>9.00) can no longer conect to the Al azif server (the primary and secondary DNS block connection to internet) any sugestion?
Awesome! Quick question, how would I go about updating the firmware with a busted disk drive? 9.00 seems pretty great since backporting won't seem to be a major hassle.
Rest mode is great but i wouldn't recommend. Over time, it might slowly currupt your hdd or sdd or even corrupt your ps4 database. I've had both happen to me using rest mode.
It is possible to use an USB hub with switches , I mean, plug it in your PS4 and in any port of the USB hub, plug the pendrive that you'll use for inject payload/cfw. So, when is required to plug your pendrive , you only have to turn on the switch of the port in the USB hub and there you go. The same way, instead of plug out the pendrive, you only turn of the switch. It is just a suggestion, so you don't have to plug in.... Plug out every time the pendrive, because, sometimes either the USB port or the pendrive go to crap, and besides..... I found simpler turn on and of a switch for boot cfw/payload.
as soon as i saw this i rusehd to turn on my PS4 to see if i was on 9.00 and i was i stopped it from updating to 9.03 just in time and turned off auto system updates
Can't you just use Disk Management to recover the USB drive after HEN is installed? Or does the USB stick have to remain in the PS4 USB port permanently?
I mean you can but next time you boot the PS4 console you have to do it again so I mean if you want to keep having to install the image file to the USB drive again then sure. You also take the USB drive out you don't leave it in. It's just needed for when you boot the console up fresh. It's a jailbreak payload, not custom firmware.
Man I'm sure glad I came back to AL Azif's JB host, and very thankful for the dns server. I tried many times to use Karo's host but, I couldn't ever get it to cache the files for offline.(kept freezing @ different percentage before completing). And for some odd reason even though I had/have everything "unchecked" for Automatic updates, Games,9.03 FW was trying to update without initiating the process or going to the store. If I would have had good internet, it may have finished firmware update.(SOL) That's before I switched my dns back to AL Azif's that's in the video. Maybe I done something to start the process but, Im almost sure of it, that I wasn't signed in to PSN AFK. Anyhow, I'm back to Al's host with his dns and everything is good. I have also "disabled updates" as an extra precaution. 🤯😅
My ps4 is 8.5, I tried updating it to 9.0 like in the video but it tries to make me install 9.3 instead. Am I doing something wrong? Edit: got it to work using safe mode.

Only question I have so far is, he has a PS4 8.03 so I will be updating it to 9.00 with the usb, but doesn’t the PlayStation tries to download the update instead of using a usb to do it when you go to settings - software update? Mr mario help me cause once i open up the payload i click on goldhen , it starts loading but it goes on forever for even 10 minutes without anything happening i donno whats wrong

i have been trying to dump bloodborne and rebuild it ever since this happened for the 60 fps patch and i keep getting hte message wrong param.sfo header on GP4 :( it also says the process cannont access the file because it is being used by another process
Is there any way to fix packages that causes kernel panic? I've had issues launching both games and homebrew (Patch Installer, INI etc.). Is it possible to fix this, or is it caused by lack of compability or something like that?
I bought an OG PS4 recently and was surprised it had the firmware 8.52 on it. I mean, that's awesome, but I don't find gaming to be too interesting anymore. The whole process ia pretty easy and I've done it before so no probs there.
It just won't work for me. The prompt you wait for to remove the USB drive, it never ever comes up. I've had it come up ONE TIME after 20 minutes and was ready and able to get it and it worked. However I tried to do it again today and it just will not come up. If I get it again I can leave it running, but it would be really useful to figure this out first....
I figured it out, if anything is plugged into the other USB slot at all it mucks it up for some reason. Working now as long as I unplug my controller or any external HDD first.
We need it in bold if you have a jb system you can't go online 👀 I suppose eventually if you want to nuke your jb status sure but then it's a regular ps4.

when i remove the usb is telling me failed to trigger the exploit.this happened because you plugged in too late/early or not at all. if you did plug it in then the kernal heap is slightly corrupted. I removed the usb when the pop up dissappeared. what shall i do? get another usb?
Bro same issue with me you need to flash image (its corrupted)again and when say put pen drive for jailbreak put it and notification comes wait for gone then remove the pen drive and press ok
question here, I'm doing all my jailbreaking on an offline user. if I log into a psn account on accident were my Playstation account be banned? also if I wanted to update in the future, is all I have to do remove my package files? thanks.
At the end of the process (removing USB and pressing OK), I get a message that states "There is not enough free system memory". I have over 150 GB free storage space. What "system memory" is it referring to? All indications are, GoldHEN did install but trying to install a package results in an error.
I looked at another how-to and the same error was shown. While it wasn't mentioned, this seems normal. You can verify functionality by installing a homebrew package. I'd recommend the Homebrew Store.
