For anyone having trouble dumping games onto a 4tb+ HDD: Try a smaller HDD. For some reason the App Dumper payload or my PS4 does not like my 5TB external and will dump only like 200mb and will stop.
Interesting. You could try resizing the partition to make it smaller but I think it could have something to do with the drive being a GPT disk. I believe any drive over 2TB's is a GPT disk and the dumper may only recognize drives that are MBR disks which most smaller USB drives are.

@@MODDEDWARFARE i Have a 8tb external Hardrive and i format it to exfat and it woeks with pkgs but when i install games they go to my system and i have to format the external again to regular ps4 format so yhey can go to external hardrive so if i run out of space what can i do sense they install in internal first

You can read it as Saib 1k or Saibik :P Finally an updated video how to proper use 3.87 and get the original keystones, hope now people stop messing that up :) Oh also at 12:55 make sure you dont leave it named as .TRP! It has to be .trp. I didnt see it at first but arczi told me about it
@@OwlCapone8630 Unfortunately many of these guides are still using outdated fpkg tools that don't include the original keystone file for the saves, cause CE error's and don't replace encrypted trophies causing NP errors.
Thank you so much for making us a updated to 9.00 a week ago and immediately tried to dump Mass Effect legendary edition and I got an NP error when I tried to play the installed fpkg but now I know that was probably because of the trophies being encrypted so thanks!
How do you made external SSD working with PS4? I just bought SSD drive, put it into external sata to usb case, and formatted into exfat. When Im trying to install pkg files PS4 don't show my disk in goldhen, pendrive is only working for me... I don't understand what's the problem

you need another HDD. if you want to backup games from your external HDD then copy your game you want to backup into the internal storage first. plug in your exfat USB drive or HDD and backup
@@cbk12 Short answer to your question: no because it's formatted as a expanded storage for your PS4. if you are okay with it then just format it again to exfat or fat32 and you can use it for your purpose. it's nothing like a normal HDD.
Thanks. I have two questions. 1. I want to mod a game through its files. If I want to go to the stock game or load the modded game, do I just load the original PKG file, delete and reinstall the game, insert the disc, or something else? 2. Do you know if I can mod the icon and boot image? Looking at the extracted files, it has PNGs of the photos. Can those be changed or swapped?
My issue is that my game won't even open to start with. It just has an "X" over the installation bar when it's done installing from the disk. I can't dump It Takes Two into a fpkg.
@Modded Warfare, about Remaster u forgot to mention to change APP VER to 1.00 and MASTER VERSION to 1.20 for example to be easy recognized that thats updated pkg, Target App Ver parameter can be deleted too. Thats the best solution, other is to make fake base 1.00 then link to that Remaster but its problematic in that to make backports ;)

The thing is that I found a retail pkg of EA Sports FC24 US version and of course I can't use it on my jailbroken 9.00 console and I would like to know if I am fried or is there a way to convert it to fpkg since I don't like playing the European version of Opoisso. None of the payloads work for me, i have goldhen working and the binloader server setting checked andcibjust get the message "load error, first enable binloader server from setting goldhen" but like i said, it is on. Why is this happening?
I got one of the NP error related to trophy but it's not related to encryption. NP-34940-0 SCE_NP_TROPHY_ERROR_SERVICE_LABEL_NOT_MATCH I was trying to make a backup copy of my Uncharted 4 disc... when i run the game after being converted to FPKG i get the error above. trophy00.trp is decrypted... Any suggestion?

I have an external HDD so when I insert the game disc it instal on the HDD. Now I can't find it using FileZilla. There's a way to get to it or I absolutly have to copy the game from the ex-HDD to the internal one ?
Wow! Am I ever going to not do this one. Looks way more complicated than it needs to be. I'll stick to downloading FPKGs from the internet. Because it's easier to transfer your saves to them than dumping a game. At least in my experience.
question about trophy. i have two files inside patch/sce_sys/trophy 1. trophy00 2. trophy01 will it work if i only replace trophy00 from the file from my ps4?
Hi I'm running Al Azif goldhen, but I can't find any dumper option on his page, so what I did after activiating goldhen through Al Azif page, I opened Karo218, and trying to dump Far Cry 6, but after waiting for more than 2 hours, nothing happened, and I turned off the PS4 , plugged the HDD into the PC to find that not any single data has been written, can you help please ?? Another question, I have 2 PS4 jailbroken, so instead of doing the same procedures on every PS4, can I just copy the external HDD after installing the Fake pkgs on it, onto another HDD and just plug it to the other PS4 ?? Would the other PS4 recognize the installed PKGs??
1. i got same issue but instead of nothing i got 2 folders and file that says game didn't finish dumping 2. i think yes you can, if you once dump game you can throw it into any jailbroken ps4 and it will run (but i think that both ps4's need to have same jailbreak version) or if it don't work - just install finished .pkg file (same like downloading .pkg from internet and then just installing it)
God of war 2018, Ghost of tsushima, the order 1886. The dumping of these games is very low even though the size of all them are around 40 GB. In 1 hour I have only 4% dumped but games like red dead redemption with 80 GB was dumped in 30 minutes, How can I resolve that problem?
QUICK QUESTION Is there any way to copy an already installed PKG file on a jail broken PS4 (9.00) FROM the PS4 to an exFat HDD?? I have a friend who has a FPKG file game I want to collect.
Your tutorials are great man! I appreciate you doing these. Very helpful. One quick question for you, i'm hoping you can answer. If the trophy file in the game and the patch are both encrypted, do I need to fix both before compiling, or just the one in the patch? I'm assuming just the one in the patch but i'm not 100% on that. If both need to be fixed, do they both get replaced with the same trophy file found in the user/trophy/conf/(corresponding game trophy folder)?
Better to be safe and replace it in both. As far as I can tell, the patch seems to replace the trophy file found in the user directory, but you can never be sure where a hang up might happen.
@@113odyssey There's only one trophy file, the one in the user folder that he mentions in the video. If an update has a newer trophy file, it replaces the original games' trophy file in that folder.
so presumably you can disconnect the USB drive as soon as you have installed the package (17min25seoconds) & you can then run the backed up game from the main PS4 menu?

Newbie question. I get the protection preventing people from making illegal copies of the game. The only reason I was interested in this at all, was so I could put the whole game on the hard drive and have it load faster, because I feel it keeps checking the disk to do something. Am I wrong? All of my disks currently are fine, and I'm not planning to sell them and "keep copies" of anything. After watching this, I see some advantage of not having to pull out the disc every time you want to play a specific game. What else am I missing?
Oh and also some of discs/games runned on OFW 7.50 and above also requires changeing region before lanuching them in order to install all voice languages files, example Guardians of the Galaxy, Doom Eternal, Marvels Avengers etc.
My patch folder is empty and winds up saying error. Do I have to play and download an update for the retail game before backing up to the jailbroken ps4? or can I just fresh install and backup? thanks

It appears just rebuilding them as they are should work. My experience trying to fix beyond two souls proved it wasn’t my fault. I built it from a ripped version and it worked. So the build process does work and function properly. When I made the first change to the eboot it then proceeded to build fine but lock the game. This tells me something about the code I have for the patch is incorrect for the version I have. Took a long time to figure that out but that’s what it does.
I get error access violation at address 00609AB7 in module genps4_app.exe read of address 00000000 when using GP4 Generator 1.8 and selecting my usb hard drive, ans selecting CUSA00411-app as DR:. any idea of the fix ? this is after just i dumped gta5 ps4 to usb using homebrew store

cannot continue using the application the data for the following application is corrupted. delete the application from the ps4 and then download it from library on the Home Screen is what is showing on game after installing it

Do you know how to dump DLC files? I've read that there's a separate process for those, but I haven't found a good tutorial for how to do it. For context, I'm trying to apply the 60fps patch for Bloodborne and want to make sure it covers the DLC. Although most of that content was included in a patch (which I have dumped alongside the game) with only the items for access sold as DLC, I'm worried I won't have access to those items if I don't dump that data before I reinstall the FPKG.
I tried this with a retail KOF XIV Ultimate Edition disc on JB 9.00 and it didn't work, since the DLC somehow was not included in the rip process . The OG disc contains the latest 3.11 update and all DLC, yet after making the BASE FPKG and UPD FPKG separately, only the base works because soon, as the 3.11 patch is applied, non of the game modes work (all black screen) The information screen should show the DLC, as it does this using the OG disc installed, yet the FPKG's it does not.
Someone please reply. I installed cod cold war fake packages of 162 GB (including all dlc and licenses)? But after opening the game it is trying to connect online servers indefinitely. Is there any work around for this to play the campaign?
@modded w.. I was able to dump Daysgone no data in patch and I also noticed no keystone on my game dump yet dump was complete.. I tried to build and I had this error. "The NP file title is not valid (nptitle. Dat) " create image process finished wit error.... I open the param. Sfo file and un check the box and save, yet it didn't work.. Please is they a way around?

Hey Bro, I have WD 1.5 TB external hard drive formatted into exfat. It works perfectly on my pc but when I plug it into PS4 it either doesn't recognise it or says unsupported file format. Other exfat pendrives work perfectly on PS4. Can you figure out what's the issues and how to solve it Please help
Hi, thank you for the tutorials. I have an issue where when I try to build the patch file for Bloodborne, I have no patch tab option under the command menu. In addition, I have a param.sfo missing error message when I try and generate the .gp4 file. Do you have any advice please?
This doesn't work anymore, karo doesn't turn off the ps4, root of my drive is empty, just says bye at the end and won't even get the update file. These tools are not mature yet and it's not worth the headache when karo host randomly changes how the dumper works and essentially breaks it's usage. 30fps Bloodborne was good enough for a platinum, I'll wait until the tools have matured. Like the linux install is just beyond buggy, 19/20 times the keyboard won't recognize and will have the run through this process again and again.
Very good video! I have a few questions tho :( 1) You showed that the trophies from the patch were encrypted and you copied the decrypted trophies over from your PS4. However, you also showed that the trophies from the game dump itself were not encrypted - couldn't you have just used those? Aren't those the same? 2) I can't wrap my head around the keystone thingy. In one of your previous videos you mentioned, that they are needed, so that existing saves from my retail version, will work on the FPKG version of the game. But in this video you said, that games which are shared online, don't come with these keystone files and I wonder why? Are keystone files unique for each console? I'm confused here, because there are places where people share keystone files so they can patch them into their games. 3) Could you do a video on FPKG'ing DLC content as well? I saw tutorials online and creating FPKGs for those, seems to be a bit more complicated - it would be awesome to have those backed up as well. 4 - Bonus) There is an app called ftpdump, which dumps the games over FTP directly to your PC: github.com/hippie68/ftpdump It is constantly updated - it works on 9.00 and also handles the whole encrypted/decrypted trophy hassle automatically. Would you consider doing a video on this as well? It should be faster than the USB route, since it could directly dumps the game to an internal drive on your PC, which should make the FPKG creation faster.
Lets go over these one by one. 1) The patch trophies are different from the base game as new game updates also include trophies for DLC, so those would be missing if you used the base game trophy file. 2) Most games shared online have a generated keystone file that will be different to the keystone file from your retail copy. That's why the saves don't work. When you dump your own game and rebuild it into a fpkg you will be using your original keystone file from your dump so the saves will work between the retail and fpkg version. 3) The process is mostly the same for DLC. But I might cover that at some stage. 4) Despite ftpdump claiming to replace encrypted trophies I've heard from several people who have used it that still ended up with NP error's. It also requires a lot of extra setup like installing WSL and a Linux OS within Windows 10/11 in order to get it to work. Plus you need to setup a wired connection to dump the game at a reasonable speed. Even then it's slower than dumping to a USB if you're using USB 3.0. All that extra setup would actually make the tutorial longer which is why I chose the USB method here. However, that doesn't mean I'm completely against using ftpdump and will probably cover it in the near future.

The one in user/trophy/conf is supposed to be for the patch, is that correct? I'm wondering where the one is that I'm supposed to patch for the game/app as well. Thank you for all you do!
My tip to you - Just update to 9.00, is stable as 5.05. No reason to stay on lower now, I hope you've got an 2-4GB USB stick to use only to deploy GoldenHen with.
