Perfect info especially for my WolfGarten Alpha 106.220 H with electric grass catcher which has the battery behind the grass catcher. My battery died during the winter and needed power to lift the grass catcher to reach the battery. Its just amazing how they thought about placing the battery there. Anyway, i jumpstarted it like this, then had enough power to use the button to lift the grass catcher and extract the battery for a proper charge. So thank you sir again!
HEY BEN, U R AWESOME!...😎 STRAIGHT TO THE POINT & EASY TO FOLLOW! AND MY CUBBY CRANKED RIGHT UP! (AFTER HRS OF CHARGING & TRYING TO JUMP OFF W/ MY TRUCK😮💨 STILL JUST CLICKED) U MADE MY DAY MAN! PRECIATE U!
Thank you so much! I think my starter is bad because my battery is brand new and the mower won’t even crank. I tried this and it started right up! Thanks for the help!
THANK YOU - THIS SERVES AS A GOOD WAY TO TROUBLE SHOOT YOUR STARTER TOO - I BOUGHT AN OLD MOWER BATTERY MISSING AND WANTED TO KNOW IF ELECTRIC START EVEN FUNCTIONED THANKS THANKS THANKS - NO CHANNEL SELLING BS EITHER 👍👍👍
Would this work to bypass a mower starter that I suspect is bad? Battery is totally good - had that load tested and it was new end of last season. I need to mow and I ran the mower once for a coup,e hours then went back out to do a bit more and had nothing. No click when I turned the key, the hour indicator in the little window won’t even light up when I turn the key - absolutely nothing. Replaced the starter solenoid - that wasn’t the problem. So would this work to start it up if the starter is bad, or is there no way to bypass the starter? Thanks and great easy to follow video!
I don’t have access to a vehicle at the moment, but I have a jump box can I do the same thing with the jump box because when I hook it to the battery I can get it to crank but won’t stay running. I’m far from Mechanically inclined that’s why I’m asking
It could be the safety interlocks such as the brake pedal needs to be depressed or parking brake set, the seat has a interlock button to sense if you are in it or not, and check that the mower deck isn’t engaged.
Make sure the battery is either very low or disconnected because you will put too much voltage in the one starter and it will catch on fire or start smoking😅😅 personal experience
Something very important to note is that the engine of the car/truck is NOT RUNNING! Don't start the engine of the car/truck for any reason......the current coming from the running engine will destroy the starter of the lawn tractor..................NEVER start the engine of the car/truck at all when doing any of this.
