*How to Jump Start HACK a Power Tool Battery*
One of my Greenworks Pro 80V 4Ah batteries wouldn't charge or power my lawn mower all of a sudden. Upon doing some research, it turned out the battery wasn't holding enough voltage (72V nominal), which caused the charger to "unrecognize" the battery and refused to charge.
This simple hack provided a quick solution and saved me at least $250 for a replacement battery. The method used in this video is nearly identical to that of commencing a jump start of a car battery. Connect a wire to the positive to positive terminals and negative to negative terminals. Let the electrons flow from the good to the bad battery (10-15 minutes) and then disconnect the wires.

What if one doesn’t have a second battery to jump start with ?

Similar to jump starting a dead car battery, you will need a good battery with the same voltage to source the power from.

Just connect it to your brain by pushing the positive wire into your right ear and the negative wire in your left ear. Then connect the other wires to the dead battery as shown in this video. If there is any sign of life in that brain of yours it will recharge the dead battery. You're welcome.

I just tried this, bad battery’s voltage is now 80V (from 76V before jumpstarted). But the charger is still blinking red. What else could I try next?

Does it blink red when the battery is inserted? Does it charge?

Yes it blinked red when inserted. I assume it was not charged while blinking red. Couldn’t confirm because mower could not run with that battery. Voltage seems to stay the same AFAI, so again I assume it wasn’t charged.

@@hieutrantrong9865 I have an 82V battery, and ran into the same issue. Some chargers apparently want more than the rated voltage to function, because I eventually got it to work.

😂😂 All i did to minds was light up the battery status bar first then quickly place it on the charger so the charger doesn't read through the entire battery status. Charged right up. All dat hotwiring Jumpstart unscrewing both batteries waste of time. All it takes is a second 😂😂
