Kudos to Jim Valentine, I was going to make the same comment. I will add, I have had my filter drain in as little as 4 hours; I'll test for 3 hours on my next oil change. If you have the time, it's worth not having to deal with the mess.
Good idea for sure if you have the extra time. Let us know if 3 hrs does the trick. I’d probably want to set a reminder and not accidentally forget and go fire it up halfway through an oil change 🙈
What are you doing for clutching? I have a KRX 4 with 35s. I tried some adjustable weights and a stiffer spring but I think it grabbed too hard and made the wet clutch slip.
Just a little tip.... let it sit for a day before removing the oil filter. It drains back. You'll find there will no oil spillage. One lesson learned...
