I’ve been doing the water bottles for a while we actually keep empties and keep refilling them I also use a few 1 liter pop bottles which last even longer. Great tip on marking top with size limit for fish. Awesome channel
I thought after that first hack you were gonna do a copy of what Yak Motley did but you saved it. Nicely done. And I see you are growing pretty fast, congrats on that and 1,000 subs will be just around the corner.
17 dollar cooler, well now we know who has money 😁. Good tip on the sand idea, as hot as it is here ( Gulf Shores Alabama) and as hot as it will be, I for sure will be using it. Always enjoy the videos.
The frozen water bottles one I have done for many years. I usually throw two 2 liters of frozen water in my Igloo like yours for ice all day. I tried marking the legal limits on my cooler top, but I use my top as my cutting board also so they didn’t last long. It’s a great idea though, maybe I should engrave mine..lol.. never thought about burying the cooler for more insulation, that’s genius!! The salt water in the ice I have never heard of either, but I’m going to put it to the test this weekend. I’ll be heading to Jekyll Island for some surf fishing and going to put FishGum’s Pomp Chews to the test here on the GA coast and see what they will do. Hope to get some good video if the weather holds out.
What if I go in the afternoon and stay at the island overnight? How do I keep fish longer? Clean it, slice and store in the zip plastic bags with salt?
You could fillet the fish and keep it in bags on ice, or keep the fish whole on ice. As long as the cooler stays cold, you don’t have to clean them right away
If your fishing fresh water fish, and I use a salt brine to keep the fish cold while fishing all day in south FL, will the salt brine give the fresh water fish a salty taste when I cook them?
