This is the most practical advice I've heard. You are right that there is no plant that repels snakes. They have nostrils so they can just hold their breath until they pass

Not sure about snakes being lovely animals Sarah but thank you for sharing tips on how to deter them. I'm also very scared of them & grew up thinking that the snakes' sole purpose was to harm humans, shifting that mindset is going to take some time.

Plant Moringa tree, lemon grass and other essential for cooking. They dont love. The smell of this plant

It's timely Ms. Sarah here in our region snakes specially king cobra are being rescues almost every day maybe because the weather here in Philippines is very hot.. And the natural habitat of snakes are being invade for construction of subdivisions and some uses for planting

What about swimming pools water? Will that invite the snakes? I don’t like snakes at all.

Good question, I didn't think. About the swimming pool, I believe if the area around the pool is kept neat without hidding places, snakes will leave when they come
