0:58 my hair has been in boho braids for almost 2 months now (will be on June 12!) and I’m surprised I don’t have any itching or odor. I just scratched my hair to see but my fingernails were still clean. Not sure how or why but I’m going to take them out soon to relax and get them back in another protective style asap since I want to keep my hair up for the rest of the year. I’m 4 months post and I’m going to self relax. The last time I went this long and went to a hair stylist, it was too painful because my roots were matted and dry despite detangling it prior to my appointment. Never again! I’m going to detangle myself and relax my hair in twists; this is what I did for my sister, whose roots were super dry and tangled when I did her hair last time.

Yes. I’m a person that sweats in their hair during any workout. So, I wipe my braids and scalp with a damp cloth after and wash bi-weekly. Keep sharing the tips

hi niara ❤ i’m thinking of relaxing my hair! i have gotten highlights over a 2 months ago and wanted to know can i still begin my relaxing journey with highlights in? i was considering getting sisterlocs but baybeeee its just too expensive and im tired 😭

Hi! You can’t relax if your hair was bleached at all. So I’d check to see if you highlights involved bleach.
