Want to learn how to Keep both your trimmed and untrimmed skill Cape!?!

Personally I was not sure if this was common knowledge or not so I decided to upload it in an attempt to help some people who may want to try this trick

They really need to make a way to just keep the untrimmed, I mean a first 99 is a pretty big deal, so showing it off should just be natural instead of having to do these steps just to keep a cape untrimmed like it should be. Thanks for the guide btw!

YinYarnsBarn , I like your point of view... when ppl have multiple 98 capes, for the first cape, players shud have a option to toggle trimmed or untrimmed...jst for nostalgia

There's no need to world hop at all, just drop the cape, get the 99 and telegrab it back.

What happens to your untrimmed capes if you have it in your bank? i thought it stays untrimmed?

8/11/2017 - Doesn't work. Works until you relog back in wearing the cape then it goes trimmed. I would advise logging out without wearing the untrimmed cape

They should make it so the first 99 you get always has the option to stay untrimmed but the rest stay trimmed by default

you to drop it every time you about to lv another 99, just dont need to hop to f2p world. Just be careful whe you dropped it, dont pick it straight, you MUST telegrab to prevent it getting trimmed. Ive managed to keep my hp cape untrimmed after getting 5 more capes

if you get a quest cape before your first 99, will the 99 skillcape be untrimmed or not since you own the quest cape?

Your first 99 is always untrimmed, regardless if you have QPC, Diary Cape, Music cape etc.

yea, but QPC isnt trimmed unless you have diary cape. So getting 99 firemaking wont trim your QPC, but you will get a trimmed firemaking cape (i believe) therefore you get no untrimmed cape to keep

So say I were to to get 98 attack/str/def and have them all at like 20 xp from leveling, I can just used a controlled weapon to get all 3 of them 99 and I can still have the untrimmed? Or do I need to get them 1 by 1 type of thing for it to work?

I mean I've heard people complaining about the untrimmed one turning suddenly into the trimmed version, did it happen to you or do you still have both of em and able to wear them?

My I lost my first untrimmed 99 agility cape in high risk pvp world. Yah I know... “why tf would you take it” long story short. I was at chaos alter world hoping from pkers doing bones. I was done and thought it would be a good idea to see if there’s any pkers there (yah I know) Soon as I logged in I got pked and I didn’t know you’d lose everything and yahhh I lost my untrimmed cape forever. I’m still sad and pissed.
