Sheep & Stitch lion brand wool ease thick and quick in either tangerine or strawberry.... oooh or the blueberry hahaha. Maybe all of them! Love this pattern!
Thanks for this incredible and easy pattern! The pattern is Mult 6 + 1. I just made one using a lighter weight wool and smaller needles and the pattern turns out beautiful. The last row in the repetition (Row 4), you end with P2SSO, yo, K2. At first when I read the pattern I though it was K3, then another K2. If you end up feeling like you’re missing stitches when you count, it may be because the YO were forgotten or they may be hiding underneath, they’ll show up in the next row.
Thank you for providing the multiple + 1. I wish this would be provided in all patterns for those of us who want to vary width from the original pattern.
Excellent explanation and clear instructions. I am a visual learner so having the written pattern for me to see and knit along is fantastic. Thank you so much. Can’t wait to make the scarf.
This video blows me away ... you are so precise with the instructions and are an excellent teacher. Thanks for all your effort in making the video. Super great job!!! 💜👌🙏💫💜
Can I just say, I absolutely LOVE your tutorials!!! You do an amazing job at teaching how to work different stitches. I also love how you put the pattern across the bottom bar of the video and highlight (underline) exactly where you're at in the pattern, it's opened my eyes on how to read patterns. Thanks so much! New knitter, here and loving it!
Ever since i took up knitting i have been following your videos rit from how to cast on till the market bag its an amazing journey... Thank yo so much for being so patient and explaining everything so clearly in all your videos... Your amazing 💙💙💙💙
Due to COVID, I have not been able to take any knitting lessons. I have learned all I know about knitting by watching Sheep and Stitch, and I have knitted 3 different shawls, a scarf, and a neck warmer. I'm now going to learn lace knitting. You are awesome! Best instructor on RU-vid!
This channel was what really got me into knitting and what has helped me so much during my journey. I'm forever happy and grateful that you were my knitting teacher and I've done quite a few patterns from your channel. As I have ventured into other patterns (I'm tackling lace for the first time!), I have remembered tips from your tutorials too and they have been forever helpful. Today I was feeling a bit off about my my first tackle at lace since I felt my needles were too big and I had the info you mentioned about that being important in the back of my mind, so I came to this video to check on it and I feel a lot more calm now. Thank you so much, Davina! I couldn't have asked for a better knitting teacher C:
I watched your channel for the first time. You are a great instructor. I found it very easy to follow your directions thank you. I will be making this scarf shortly and are following you. I have been knitting for over 60 years and am still learning Thank you for teaching me new things.
Ive been wanting to learn how to knit since i was like 5 years old and i found this cancel today omg. I love your videos so much you explain so nicely. I could never understand these things in other videos!
Hi my name is nicola I just want to ask you please would you be able to send me on a basic kitting patterns how to make harry potter hat thank you so much nicola
Hey Davina girl! I was just thinking about you the other day and here you are with a video! YAY! You taught me something new about the SSK stitch cause I didn't take the left needle over the 2 sts on the right needle and knit them, that was confusing to me but not the way you showed it! Thank you girly! The scarf is beautiful!
Hey Kim! So nice "seeing" you here! haha. You're a bit of a knitting pro, so I take it as a compliment that you learned something from the video! Your cards are so gorgeous! Thanks for commenting!
I really liked it and I really love the way you teach! Also, one recommendation I have for the fringe part is to use a crochet hook to pull the fringes into the work
Thanks so much for the tutorial. It was arkward to use the huge needles at first but was easy once I got the hang of it. Made it as a gift for my sister
Yaaaay I was looking forward to another one of your videos! I'm determined to make everything on this channel while learning how to knit.😁 These also will make such nice Christmas presents!
Hello I just completed this scarf and it came out to be perfect. Thank you for explaining it so wonderfully. Could you please upload a video for making a beaded lace scarf too. Your instructions are so easy to follow. You are a great teacher and inspiring
I fully started knitting again because of your channel. First I did the infinity scarf for beginners and now I’m on the Harry Pother scarf. Will get onto this one eventually. Looks a lil more difficult but I’m down. Can you teach a brioche stitch and how it’s different from normal ribs? I’m so happy I was found this.
YES! Thank you! I've been looking around for beginner lace patterns. Also, if I wanted to change the number of CO stitches, would it be multiples of 6 + 1..?
I LOVE THIS! I just discovered your channel! Where did you go!? I hope you haven’t disappeared! Plse make more videos😫I like your style bc ur apart of the young knitting crowd. I don’t like learning how to knit from older ladies! Big fan of you💜
Yes! I'm going to knit this scarf in Lion Brand HOMETOWN Aspen Tweed. Thank you so much for your informative video. You were so precise and easy to follow. I look forward to more videos.
I've got a very chunky yarn that I don't how to use it, thank you for your wonderful video, just wanted to know how many stitch I should do to make it wider. Thank you very much again and waiting for more video from you
I have a lot of #4 worsted yarn. Can I knit this scarf with it?If so what size needles and how many stitches?Love your tutorials. You are an amazing teacher. Have followed you in the beginners scarf and hat !
I love all your videos, they are very easy to understand and apply, I learnt alot from your channel. Regarding this pattern, may I ask the number of multiples? Is it multiple of 17 + 2? (In the case I'd like it to be a wider scarf). Thank you :)
Some people say that you can't block pure acrylic yarn, others say you can, I dunno what to believe, but anyway I'm nervous about putting pure wool against my skin! (so that's two issues, right there! 😂) anyway, fantastic and fun tutorial as usual, I simply must start on this to be ready to give it to my best friend at Christmas!
My friend just came out as trans to me and Im gonna start making this as a gift for her tomorrow :D (in blue since it's her favorite color, preferably a variegated blue) I gotta say I absolutely love the style of your videos
Hello! I love your video! As an intermediate level beginner, it was very helpful. I made the scarf using Lion Brand Hometown yarn in Anchorage Ice. I would like to bake this scarf for my 8year niece. How would I modify the pattern- CO and length? Thanks!
ahh! I wanna make this scarf so bad! I haven't knitted in a long time and i'm only a beginner so this seems a little overwhelming because the last time i made a scarf, it just took foreeeverrrrr. lol!!
I really enjoyed this video tutorial! The pattern was easy to follow after watching. Unfortunately, even after blocking my scarf, I'm getting severe curling. I always hate when scarves that have a WS with purls do that, so I probably won't do this pattern again. No regrets though as it was my first attempt at lace and the scarf knitted up pretty fast!
You can try to do a few stitches in garter (knit stitch) on either side (left and right, AND right side and wrong side also) to prevent curling, whilst keeping the main pattern central.
My method to keep track of what part of the pattern I'm on is always finishing with the knitting part, so row 2 or 4. You can see where the yarn overs are pretty clearly when they are on the needle, so I can tell what row I'm on by looking at where those are.
Has anyone that is left handed done this pattern? Do you just follow the instructions or do you have to reverse the increases? I really want to make this scarf it's beautiful!
