I make lots of log cabin afghans. I would suggest that you slip the first stitch of every row (purlwise). This then gives you a nice edge and it's easier for picking up the stitches for the next colour. I use a crochet hook to do so. This gives the squares a smoother edge and it's almost impossible to tell where the seam is.
Love it, so started this log cabin blanket. Happen to have all those colours in my stash. 😊 usually I can't work from a pattern. But I'm going to try. Maybe your demo is the way to go. Maybe, just this time I'll stick to a pattern! 😊
Thanks for the pattern. I want to make a baby blanket, but the yarn I need isn't here yet, so I am practicing with some cotton yarn that I will use for dishcloths. Who knows? I might just make a bunch of dishcloths instead! Planning Christmas gifts here. XXOO

Thank you so much, Annu! If you do all purl stitch on this blanket, it will look the same as all knit stitch. If you do one row of knit and one row of purl, it will give you stockinette stitch. Enjoy! 😀

Do you have a video on how to knit multi squares together to make large blanket.I have 12 squares completed and want to make black border between each square and on outside surrounding the whole blanket. I do hope so ..please let me know .thank you ,Geraldine
