Thank you for your clear instructions. I have just finished a small log cabin blanket prior to watching this tutorial. The way you pick up the stitches is something I have never thought of. They are indeed very neat. For my next project ..... thanks once again. Subscribed !

I re ally appreciate your video work showing exactly how to pick up stitches. Some people might find it helpful to use a crochet hook to pick up stitches. Even though I do not crochet I can use a hook to help with that.

Hi, I like your video, very easy to follow. except after I have knitted 30 ridges, my tail is on the right hand side, not the left as yours is before the first lot of cast offs, I don't get why mine always ends like that. I've frogged it 3 times and it still turns out that way, with the tail on the right side and the wrong side facing me when I finish the 30 ridges, 60 rows, then I cast off with the wrong side facing me which leaves the tail still on the right hand side not on the left hand side like yours is ready for the pick up stitches??
@SnufflebeanYarn
@SnufflebeanYarn День назад
How are you casting on?
@rainforestcrafts3766
@rainforestcrafts3766 День назад
@@SnufflebeanYarn long tail cast on
@rainforestcrafts3766
@rainforestcrafts3766 23 часа назад
ok, so if the first row of ridge one is worked with the wrong side of work facing you - tail on the right as in video at 1 minute 34 seconds in, then row 2 is worked with the right side facing you, so every odd row (row 1 of ridge) is worked with the wrong side facing you (tail to the right) and every even row (row 2 of ridge) is worked with the right side facing you (tail to the left) so when you work row 2 of ridge 30, it is worked with the right side facing you, so when you turn the work to cast off, the wrong side will be facing you ?? But in the video, the right side is facing you to start the cast offs ?? Where am I going wrong???

Love your videos. I'm struggling to get the right number of ridges I keep ending up with 31 and 11 after I've done the can't off. Do you count the single ridge under the stitches on the needle as a full ridge?

No I don’t ☺️
