Step1: Open up whatsApp and head to the chat of the person who you think might have blocked you
Step2: If the person's last seen status is not visible, then there is a chance that the contact has blocked you on whatsApp.
02:10 Method 2 Check the Profile Picture
If a person had blocked your number then their profile picture will not be visible on your WhatsApp contact list. The change in their profile picture will no longer reflect in your account.

The next technique to find out the blocking activity on WhatsApp is that when you try to add the person in a WhatsApp group, you will get a pop-up message displaying you are not permitted to add them. This message confirms that you are blocked by that person for sure.

Usually, when you send a message on WhatsApp to someone in your list, your message has a tick mark along with it. One tick mark refers that the message that has been sent out from your mobile for delivery to the concerned person.
If you are unable to witness the second tick mark, then it resembles that the person has blocked you in their WhatsApp account.

Weird thing is you can see it coming before the person even knows.. I could tell months before that that would happen. There is a phase where the person no longer likes you but still feels obliged to answer to you. And at some point they just block you lol. Then again I did that before too. People are shit.

I agree. It's a game sadly. When people think you're wasting their time or you care too much then they'll lose interest and block you. Whenever you're too available it makes it look like you're clingy. It's scarcity and relationship psychology

The blank display picture could also be due to the person deleting the contact directy from the phone and have a setting to only display the display picture to contacts.

This has probably already been mentioned in comments. But I've found another method that is better than all these. If you have a secondary phone with a pay and go sim still active, add said persons number to your old second phone, install WhatsApp, go to start a new chat with said person and you'll see their last seen status (if this has not been switched OFF in settings), their photo will now show (if said person hasn't changed this in settings); and probably one to avoid and only as a last resort, you can message said person and it will deliver - If of course they have been online recently, remember they may not have blocked you at all. DO THAT LAST PART AS A LAST RESORT, REMEMBER, THEY BLOCKED YOU FOR A REASON. Maybe ask them why, take it on the chin and then leave them alone for a while.

OK, so I CANNOT see a person's Last Seen Time info on WhatsApp (while other friends of mine CAN see this person's Last Seen time), but however, I CAN see his profile picture... (Both of us are on iPhones). Also when I text this person on WhatsApp, my messages ARE delivered to him (and I can ALSO see blue tick marks when he's read my message), but my WhatsApp CALLS to him WON'T go through... (It's really weird, because if I was blocked, then I shouldn't be able to either see his profile photo and nor would I be able to see my messages being delivered and read by him, right?)... So have I been blocked, or can something else be happening that would do ALL of the above?

They have not uninstalled WhatsApp, but there might be some bug if you are only getting one checkmark. Usually, apps that are not updated for long periods show such errors.

One of my ex never loved me, she keeps asking me for money all the time or take her to expensive places, I had to block her. After we broke up and I thought we could remain friends. So I tried calling him and I heard the ringing sound BUT it never said ringing??? It just said “calling” and then it just dropped after a bunch of rings. And according to WhatsApp it was an “unanswered call.” What does that mean? I thought you are only blocked if you can’t hear it ring?? I can’t see how last active anymore but I am showing 2 ticks with my messages however they aren’t showing them being read but you can turn read receipts off. And I do still see his profile picture and I can add him to a group. But I heard the profile picture means nothing you can still see the persons picture however you can’t see if they update it to anything new.

That person might ve deleted your number from their phone, also if the whatsapp call said "calling" Instead of ringing it means their data is off, they can also set up their privacy setting of their status and exclude you from seeing their new posts, mute your cals and messages, so that they dont get the notification of you calling them. It sucks right, im going through the same thing rn and ive done phd in wapp, i hope that helps. Tc😘

All of this is ambiguous, they do it like that for privacy and to not feel too angry, for example im sure someone blocked me, the second tick doesn't show, thats all you need, the rest can work or not, even the tick could be because other reasons, but if never arrived, well now you know

Along with the profile picture, you won’t be able to see details such as status, las seen, and more if someone blocks you on WhatsApp. Another reason for not able to see the status, photo and other details could be the change in Settings. You could use our Lastseen app to try to see your friends' status
