Oh. Oh. I don’t play with the right edge of the hair-no wonder I sound loud. I’ve owned my bow since 1966 and had it rehaired for the first time & picked it up today. It plays with more power. I even thought I played with better intonation, but I know that’s not possible.

Good for you Jeff that you had your bow rehaired. With a new full bow hair, our violins certainly sound much better and it gives a nice motivation to practice also :) Happy practising Jeff!

I have a carbon fiber bow. Does it also gets affected by the uneven use of the bow hair?

Hi Anka, carbon fiber is resilient and it would not get affected by the uneven hair. H owever it would be a good idea to treat every bow with care, because we tend to build a habit of it. Happy music making!

Hi Geekynewz, about the violins from the glass cabinet, some are mine and some are for sales. But I mainly put the violins on a display, because it is the most beautiful instrument in my opinion :)
