FINALLY found a way to position your hands while braiding. Is my braid ugly? Yes. Am I proud? Yes!

I love this braiding style! I like how it almost looks like a crown. Your braiding tutorials are all so elegant, informative, and seem so effortless. I love your historical and your screen-based braids. What is your favorite kind of braid to wear?

Thanks for all the helpful tutorials! Ive found many of them really useful. I often like doing lace side braids that transition to english braids just behind the ears. fairly quick and really nice for help in keeping hair out of the way but also visually striking, either alone or with other braids.

Thanks for the tutorial! Before I found your channel all I knew about were English and French braids, now I’m learning about all these crazy (well, pretty but holy cow my fingers need to be more refined for this) styles and it’s really exciting!

I like wearing my lace braids starting from my ear and wrapping around the back of my head and over my shoulder, making it looser/longer as the braid progresses, it helps my baby hairs and layers from falling out of my side braids and has a lot of cool details. it is also fun to do two longer lace braids on either side of your head, then fold up the tails and pin them across the back of your head in a chignon-esque updo that's easy to dress up or down

This is so cool! I have an undercut and the hair at the top of my head isn't that long, so I thought braids weren't for me, but it makes for a really cool hairstyle lace braiding one side of it - perfect for me because I've been trying to find a way to use less product on my hair, and this type of braid keeps my hair out of my face and to one side of my head without anything more than a small hair tie. I love it!

Hi! Your videos are awesome! I find then very easy to follow, except my shoulders get tired fast. Have you ever had this problem?

All the braiding she does it probably doesn't even bother her anymore!

heh yeah I work out now but even before that, braiding a ton helped me build muscle in my shoulders. That really helped when I started rock climbing ;) for real though it can still be a bit tiring for me if I'm filming for a long time.

I usually sit in a sofa when I braid my hair,, so when I get tired I can just rest my elbows on the back?? on the sofa. It helps alot imo. :)

I NEVER knew what this was called! I thought I had made it up. I used to lace braid dutch my front section and then Katniss braid the rest of my hair and weave thw extra hair in. This was back in high school, a couple years ago. now that I have bangs I dont do it so much, but now I know exactly what it is called!!

it was frustrating partly because braids arent THAT visible on (thick) black hair but finally did it after so many trials and aching back and shoulders! so worth it 😄

Thank you for making these videos! I knew the English braid and attempted the french, but I have to keep practicing that one. Also, I can use Bobby pins! I just had to use the ones at Sally's beauty supply, instead of cheap *cough cough, ahem* goody bobby pins. I am so excited about all the hairstyles I can do now!!!

Can you do a lace braid and go into a waterfall braid?
@sarahhorstman8665
@sarahhorstman8665 7 лет назад
If I can, I always lace my Dutch braids. I usually will do two lace dutchs, English after I can't add more hair, to the ends, then I'll weave the braided ends under the scalp braids either in a corset pattern or into an infinity bun at the base of my skull. If I corset lace the ends, I have enough texture in my hair I usually don't have to pin the ends in place, just tuck them back under the lacing and to the sides.

I love these basic tutorials. I kept having minor issues with this braid in specific so im quite excited to see this one. I have a question though.. do you have a tutorial for the hairstyle shown in the third picture near the end of the video?
@silvousplaits
@silvousplaits 7 лет назад
I don't, that was just a photo shoot I did once. But it's pretty easy - side part, three regular micro braids on the side with more hair, a lace headband braid, and regular braids made with the remaining hair in front of the ears.

Oh thank you for replying! I will definently be trying that one out. To be honest I often do my hair up in styles from your tutorials and I always get so many compliments, it has actually gotten to the point that some of my coworkers express worry for me if I'm not wearing braids.

I always lace raid because it sits flat better, and it looks more textured in dark hair
