I just can’t wear my trainers without tying the laces properly. When I was growing up, someone told me that I need to remember 2 things when lacing up and it was “Fight or flight”. They said that I need to tie my laces in a such a way that my trainers do not come off my feet if I’m in a fight or running away from one. This has been in my head for almost 2 decades now and have to admit that it has served me well in few occasions. Not trying to knock down people who rock that untied lace look, you do you man.
Honestly, for the loose look, what has worked for me and it’s the best in my opinion, it’s lacing them while wearing the shoe that way you don’t have to mess with the laces before putting them on and you know if they’re loose enough but not too loose that they fall off. But it’s only my opinion it doesn’t matter 🤷🏻♂️
@@whoisgavin4059 but you need a little bit of wiggle room at the front yes? Even the store were i buy my kicks said to pick this size. If i go a half size down my big toe is almost touching the front of the shoe. And this is without walking allot. If you walk all day your feet expand and get bigger. My next pair i will try a half size down
A permanent way to keep the bottom half of the laces tight is instead of feeding the laces from up under the loops, feed them over & through the loop then tie a knot. The knot will have to be tight, So tight, the only way to remove it is by cutting the laces

Under and random? I go over and consistently go left over right on the left shoe and right over left on the right shoe, so that the shoes mirror each other. Also a tip for those who don't like them getting too loose over time is to put a knot where it goes through the tongue and they'll never get loose on you.
Personally I think a fully laced up Jordan 1 looks way more fashionable than loosely laced Jordan 1s. Loose laced Jordan 1s are for the hypebeast. Real fashion people know to always fully lace the Jordan 1.
I don’t like the loose look tbh. I’d have to go half a size down to make sure the shoe doesn’t fall off my foot. But at the same time, regular knots do look iffy too. I’ll have to try it out this way instead of how I did them

I totally agree with you inserting the laces underneath on the 2nd hole makes the J1 looks cleaner. Since the first 3 holes are too close to each other... that’s what i do...🤩🤩🤩
what's the difference in the AF1 on how he laced it, im still tryna figure it out, besides just to take off the AF1 plate. Im staring at my shoe fresh out the box and his, and don't see a difference besides the plate and just loosening the laces.
I have a question, I have very flat feet so when ever I buy forces they don’t last long because they end up look fat after a couple weeks, how can I change that with shoes (especially forces) what would someone recommend ?
