I don’t tie my highs... I just got the bred lows on Sunday... 1st pair of lows. The issue with not tying these is the shoe laces. They are way too long for that. The way you have them, they look sloppy. I would recommend a lace swap to a shorter last. Right now I have the laces tied up behind the tongue. More than likely though, I’m going to swap the laces. I like them loose, but they have to be organized.

yea i have my laces tied behind the tongue on my lows. i tried tying them traditionally how everyone does it but it just doesn’t work. fs getting longer laces

As a kid TIGHT LACING was a must as I needed to be ready for “action” little Knuckle head runnin these National City streets in the 90’s was NO JOKE! Also liked to use that loop /slits on tongue to keep tongue in place and not slipping left, right, or straight down….BUT just got my Jordan 1 Black toes lace first one and DIDNT LOOK RIGHT SO!!!
