Is there anyone who is going to Dubai for searching job in October 2023?

Im in my 3month of job hunting here in abu dhabi. As an architect i dont know what is lacking in me even I have a 3yrs experience. Mostly of the companies im in offer me 1 month training and no pay. I dont know what to do now. So thank you i landed in this video i hope its effective😔

I worked at Grand Millennium Al Wahda Hotel Abu Dhabi with a monthly salary of AED1800 with a shared small room accommodation, bus transportation and duty meals! It’s like a salary of a domestic helper!!! 😂😂😂 That’s how my salary was as an experienced hotel receptionist who checks in and checks out hotel guests from different market segments!

I wouldn’t waste my time in Dubai unless you have family here or friends to help you out. I spent 10 months looking for an entry level job there just to pay my basic bills , wasn’t even being choosy and I couldn’t even find a single basic job despite my qualifications and degree. So I left and never looked back. Dubais job market is extremely shitty. If you don’t have wasta don’t waste your time

One of the things said in the video is quite surprising, I don’t think that it is deemed appropriate to call the recruiters on their phones, considering that their phone number is not even supposed to be public information. If the job post indicates the name of the recruiter, then the maximum you can do is send them an in-app message, but even then, I see that not many of them typically answer messages. In any case, I would stay away from calling your recruiter in the year 2024.

Because UAE is a much smaller economy compared to say the US, the job market often is mired by issues which often would be discriminatory in western countries. So the process in theory might work but most recruiters are not just greedy but biased as well. There is this tribal mentality which quite honestly will ruin the UAEs job market because if it's a white brit, he/she is trying to find ppl like themselves and if it's an Indian they are notorious about discrimination against Chinese, blacks and especially Pakistan folks. It's a dirty business. Unfortunately the onus of flaws and weakness in the procedures is placed on the candidate rather than the system. Nobody wants or cares to fix it. The reason bias and discrimination is not being addressed in the UAE is because Arabs themselves are biased in favour of certain nationalities, so it creates an uneven playing field for everyone except arabs and their favoured nationalities (all western and some eastern)
