Thanks to the moon for sharing these tips! I just recently finisbed Google's UX design course and I'm building my portfolio and resume. But since I know I'm gonna be rejected for jobs, I'm starting to redesign other people's websites and they love it! That's how I'm making connections. At least until my portfolio is ready. :D

Aliena! I signed up for that course! I'm approaching the end of a six month course into UX/UI and you always seem to post a video about things I'm pondering haha. You nailed it when you said personal project > client project > dream job. That's exactly how I'm looking at it. I just hope I'm able to successfully network with my hermit self 😂
Thank you so much for this Aliena I also believe in applying UX design beyond just UI/UX. I have an online service I offer to business owners and I recently wrote a case study on the experience the service brought to their businesses and how it made them feel. I am a huge fan of customer service and that is what UX is all about and I am really proud to be in this feed. I am yet to get to where I aim for but I know I will definitely. Love your videos.
*Hello mam, a very thankful pink heart emoji from India. I have almost watched 60% of videos in your channel and I am glad to find this channel, providing this kind of content. Actually myself Chirag, I am 19, not doing any 4 years degree college because I know it's not worth it all as I am much confident of my skills that it would help people in getting services from me.😉😂 and I have also got a pretty much graphic designing background as I am much familiar software called corel draw. But now you obviously know that AI swallowing many fields either it is labour work or creative work, so I was thinking to shift in UI UX field and it is not only because of AI transition but also I am too excited for this role. And yeah there will be many opportunities for this role that i will get an opportunity to serve the public. So I was considering to take the Google Ux certificate but I know it will not enough, I also have to do things outside of it liking working on UI portfolios, personal projects, internships and et cetera. So is it good to take google ux course? as I have read reviews that it much better for beginners in UX field but it would be very helpful if you provide me a mini roadmap to kick start my career in this field. I'd suggest you to take the 1-5 courses of Google certs along with some Figma tutorials, do a personal project along with them and make your first portfolio. Then use networking skills and your first project to land a client project (it's fine if it's unpaid). Then put the client project in your portfolio and resume and use it to land a job (contractor is fine).
Great Tips as always!! I personally have a fear of saying "hey i can help you with your design" and then them saying "oh, i already have a designer, they did this project for me" 😭😭 It's so senseless but I don't want to be a client stealer lol

Oh I would suggest to put your personal name and headshot. But you can add a separate company profile that represents your business, and then in the experience section say that you are working at your own agency 👍
