I learned so much from you when you first launched your Patreon that I took tips....okay I staright out stole your strategy and now I have seven Patrons. I'm so grateful to them everyday and I have you to thank. You're wonderful
Hello . I am a graduate student doing research into programs like Patreon. I would be extremely grateful if you could answer a few brief questions. Thank you so much. 1. How did you hear about Patreon? 2. What do you do for a living? 3. What do you create on the Patreon? 4. Do you use any other platforms (now or previously)? 5. What do you like about it? 6. What do you dislike / or what other tools do you wish it offered? 7. How much do you make on Patreon vs. how much do you make on other platforms (e.g. Estsy) ? 8. How much do you make elsewhere (e.g. an arts fair, freelancing, advertising or selling products yourself etc.)? 9. How likely are you to keep using Patreon in the future? How and why? 9. Any other comments? facebook.com/wesley.arnold.104 wab@admin.umass.edu

OK. I confess. My first thought was, "Who is this girl who likes to talk a lot?" But it turns out that you're really inspiring. And you somehow manage to make small, practical advice inspiring. Which is a real gift. Emily, Thank you.
Thank you. I have thought about launching for a year or more, but only recently discovered how passionate I am about sharing the music and the muse of my soul. Your video has helped me feel more confident to proceed. Thank you. I'm becoming your patron right now... before this video is even halfway complete. Blessings & Beauty
This is the 4th video i've watched about starting a Patreon. I must say i enjoyed yours the most cuz youre so pleasant and its refreshing to see you have such a relaxed attitude. Thank you!

Thank you for having such warm, beautiful, welcoming energy! This video is really helpful to me as I learn more about the artist experience on Patreon. ..and the further in I get, the more I love your natural enthusiasm and love for other creators! The advise your offer is excellent (also intuitively excellent), and even more so, your wise, glowing authenticity.
Thank you for sharing this information. Not only was it helpful, but it eased my mind about how I felt toward people I had been following on RU-vid, who stopped making content completely when they started pushing their Patreon.
I like the way you think, you’re positivity and gratitude. That’s how we all should be. Thankyou for the great advice. Good luck to you in your endeavours. 👍🏻
I've lost count of how many times I've seen this video (and most of your other ones to be honest 🙈), but I'm watching again after launching my own Patreon 🥺😍 I can't believe it!
Thank you so much for this video! Our Patreon is launching today and I was scrambling to make sure I didn’t miss anything. This helped immensely, honestly thank you for sharing so openly 🖤🖤🖤
This was super helpful! Patreon was always a "maybe" for me, but it's slowly but surely turning into an "eventually" haha. This video was full of valuable tips! I'll definitely be listening to this again when I do end up starting a page!

I've never seen one of your videos before, don't know you and was clicking on things shout starting a Patreon. It's 2 years after you posted this and I just have to say... you have a new subscriber. Bless you! I believe I will binge watch your art/vids this Sunday.
Thank you for this video! I’m from Russia and here are not so many people who could explain how to run patreon in a simple way! You are so sunny, so cozy person ✨😍
Emily - this was an absolute delight. I've got an illustrated short story (manuscript) that I'm eager to self-publish this summer and shopping around for the least labor/ emotion intensive method. Who wants to spoil the fun of the creative process with the guilt of failing to meet their community's expectations? Your perspective has been very helpful as I begin my journey.
This was so much more useful than the video Patreon itself had, honestly. Thank you so much. You've actually even given me ideas for other things to do along with my writing, specifically ideas for videos. This was a good reminder to my mile-a-minute brain that things take time. And that's okay. Thank you again, so much.
Omg I love your energy! It’s so sweet and welcoming and wholesome. I was smiling the whole video. Congratulations on your amazing success! And thank you so much for sharing your experience and the helpful tips! ❤️
Wow, thank you Emily, you are a saver, you have removed the doubt and unnecessary pressure for starters ups, by the step by step tips. Warm regards. 💐👍✅
This was so helpful. I’m about to start my patreon and it’s already stressing me out and I haven’t even lounched it yet. This video helped me calm down 😂 Thank you!

Like Tom Ross says your audience is Not your colleagues (to that effect) its the people who will buy from you. Not that I follow him, he’s just always jumping up on my insta feed. Hell if I ever got just a couple art colleagues (if I ever did patreon) I’d simply be deliriously happy about that!
Thanks!!! This video being such a personal experience and having so much pride and joy in the entire process makes me feel better about trying to start
Thank you ♥️ this is so encouraging to see. I have been hesitant to set up my patron. I am so glad you mentioned to build up for the launch too. Never would have thought about it.
I launched my page 4 days ago without "build up to it" and with only "one piece" of content on it ..... I will be adding something every 3 days for my patrons ..... and I thanked my first 3 patrons already 😊 ( I AM going to treat them real special) ..... I wish I had seen your video BEFORE I launched .... thanks

this was actually very valuable! Thank you so much Emily! I believe I joined your patreon on the first day because your build up made me so happy to help you
This was a wonderful thanks for the chat, this was like you came over. I'm starting to do the stuff to launch a Patreon page/ account, whatever it is. Thanks
Thankyou ! I so needed this and your screen personality is so great . You really make sense of all this ! On the Thankyou website I couldn't figure out how to show my work . Now I understand better what's needed and required .
Thank you for this, Emily. You have given me a much better idea of how Patreon works than all the fast-moving how-to videos that I have tried. It actually encouraged me rather than put me off. And you speak an English that I can understand, too, which is just lovely, after I have wrestled with US accents through so many other videos on the topic. Your accent makes me think we don't live a million miles from each other!
Gosh I appreciate this video, Emily - you are so sincere and sweet and humble and this is by far the most helpful and encouraging video I've watched about starting a Patreon. Thanks so much for sharing this and for being you!
Thank you so much for these helpful tips and insight! You're very knowledgeable about Patreon. I'm thinking of starting one myself and you gave some excellent advice I didn't even think of! :)

I’ve been watching a lot of videos about Patreon, trying to decide if it’s for me or not. This was, hands down, the most informative and helpful video of all. Thank you for this video!!!
I hope you are still creating and actively making videos like these because your positivity & vibe is SO lovely and empowering! Just the encouragement my operation needed 🙌🏼🙌🏼 Subbed, naturally
This video is a bit old but I just want to say thank you! I’ve been wanting to make a Patreon ever since hitting 10k, but was super nervous and waited foreverrr. This video made me sure I was ready and I’m wanting to launch! Super excited to see how this turns out 🙏🙏
Your video was so useful! Thank you for all those tips and tricks. I've been putting off starting my page forever because I'm scared. I love that you explained everything and said reminders to set realistic goals and such. That helped me put things into perspective. Thank you so much for the time you put into this video, it's really appreciated :)
Thank you so much for sharing your tips, I watched a few videos and this one really helped! I'm nervous af 😂 and I'm still trying to figure out what rewards to offer for each tier, but I'm at least working on it after a lot of thinking 🤗. Again, thank you! ♥️
I've been iffy on launching a patreon page for maybe a year now because I was too nervous. I honestly learned so much about creating a page from this video and I hope to launch mine later in the summer! Thank you so much, this video was super helpful!!
This was amazing! I watched a couple other videos on how to do Patreon and your was by very very far the best with the most valuable information. I especially appreciated your tips on the build-up and setting the goals. Thank you for sharing! Good luck with your Patreon!
Hi Emily! Thank you for posting this video, it was really useful! I have been considering starting a patreon but have been really nervous about it! This video really helped! 😊

Great video. Given me the confidence to do my own Patreon. Not yet. I need to build up a community and get more designs into my portfolio. However, one day - in fact, it will be my birthday next year - 13th February. Good to have a deadline.
Thank you so much Emily for sharing all these great tips! I'm just starting a new venture. I love what sites such as Patreon are enabling for independent artists. I love your enthusiasm and appreciation. This is right where I'm coming from as well. Much success to you. May you continue having fun and enjoyment in your art and exposure!
Thanks for the helpful information! I had to become friends with you here because my last name is also Harvey! I figured that means you must be Awesome!
Love ya Doll! I am in the process of finalizing my business plan. Your video was very insightful. The advice on a pausing an individual’s launch and adding a BBS or discord server was useful. I loved your authenticity especially your apprehensions and discovering your limitations.
Really useful, thank you! I will be watching again and taking notes. Thank you so much xxx p.s. glad you seem to be feeling better, I was worried about you in your last video ❤
This is very helpful and timely, Emily. I am in the throes of setting mine up. I have been mentioning it on my channel to build interest but havent said anything on instagram. I'm offering quite a lot so will have a long think about what's realistic before I launch. Thanks!
Hi Emily! I've found your channel just yesterday and I've been binge watching ever since. I just wanted to say a huuuuge thank you. I've just moved to the UK and I'm trying to set up my own illustration business. Your videos have been very very helpful. And your energy just keeps me so excited! Again, thank you !
