Torque converter is literally designed to do this. It will build up heat if you do it too long. This guy drives a pos hyundai but in a real car the torque converter would be fine.
@@matan6737lmao spoken like a person who knows nothing about cars or this one. The transmission isnt even hyundais and its quality. Look it up. Hell my syncros in my genesis coupe 2.0T are literally carbon fibre. People like you are driving your moms soccer van so I can’t even take a 16 year old like you seriously.
A few notes. Holding down the TC button turns off stability control and traction control which may be dangerous. To disable traction control, all thats necessary is a single push of the button, if the car chimes, look at the MFD in the gauge cluster to ensure stability control is still active. This is true for genesis coupes but may not be for other vehicles. Second, some vehicles may start spinning the tires as a result of holding the brake and the accelerator, for the genesis coupe 3.8 3000 rpms with the brake engaged will result in the rear tires slipping before launch which is not optimal. Launching in the coupe kind of sucks, around 2500 rpms is where ive found the most success. not trying to be the " um actually" guy, just some notes. have fun and always run
Thank you. I drive a mustang and bro just taught every 19 yo mustang owner how t wrap around a tree. Theese things are fucking stupid hard to control without stability control
@@hydraray8693 It doesn't. This guy doesn't know what he is talking about. The entire design of the torque converter was meant to allow slip between the engine and transmission without wear. That's the entire reason for using fluid instead of a clutch. Lots of car guys talk big game but lack the education.
I would do this in my 2014 subi wagon with the cvt , if you did the cvt fluid change and kept up on maintanence that car took a beating in my highschool days
@@GoGetBacCzz it doesn't, everything you do with your car will lower the engine life no matter how careful you are, it will just speed up that process so don't do it a lot
In some BMWs if you press it it's only halfway off, it'll let you slip a little bit but still kick in. If you hold it that's when it turns off completely.
Eh, a bit different depending on the vehicle. A lot of slightly older automatic vehicles will get a better 0 - 60 with traction control off and a good launch
first turn your a/c off then use the launch button in this shit box edition make sure you turn up that music tho because you gonna need that then you press the sports mode button those pedals need some aluminum plates so you can better manuver your feet.
Try N -- RPM around 4 maybe more 😉 and shift it to D ... some new cars don't accept that when you shift it to D RPM automatically will be low ... but most of the old cars will lunch just like a racket... ( be careful it's not good for your Gearbox, specially if your Gearbox not running at 100% )
Funny thing is that guy in this video telling you how to do launch BUT IN HIS VOICE YOU CAN RECOGNIZE HES CLUELESS ABOUT CARS AND CANT EVEN REPLACE HIS OWN BRAKE PADS probably don’t know how to put spare tire on too,,,, If you can’t afford fast car AND DO ALL THE WORK YOURSELF or either can’t afford expensive mechanics DONT DO THIS, you will end up trading I and going from one debt into another
