Can you do a video on the ratios of cement to sand to stones etc that your builders used?

Yes, we will create a video on the sand, cement, and stone ratios we used for the slabs and columns to achieve the concrete specification of a minimum 28-day cubic strength of 25N/mm2, as well as sharing the test results. Thank you @l.e.sparklesfkaelliesparkl5875

I know DPM means Damp Proof Membrane, but what does DPC stand for? What type of quality and/or thickness do you need for each one? Thank you

@dmebrown. DPC stands for Damp Proof Course. DPC is a barrier used to prevent moisture from rising through walls, which can cause structural damage and dampness in buildings. Thanks

It’s 300μm or 1200 gauge U.K. BBA approved specification.

No it is to UK specification but we bought it in Accra. The supplier details is in the description.

Yes, both DPM and DPC are needed. The latter is to prevent raising damp from the walls.

Well that’s why there is a building regs in every country to deal with such specific issues. A natural disaster can happen anywhere at anytime however, if your building complies with the local regs and it’s insured, you just have to leave the rest to God.
