Can you do a video on the ratios of cement to sand to stones etc that your builders used?

Yes, we will create a video on the sand, cement, and stone ratios we used for the slabs and columns to achieve the concrete specification of a minimum 28-day cubic strength of 25N/mm2, as well as sharing the test results. Thank you @l.e.sparklesfkaelliesparkl5875

I know DPM means Damp Proof Membrane, but what does DPC stand for? What type of quality and/or thickness do you need for each one? Thank you

@dmebrown. DPC stands for Damp Proof Course. DPC is a barrier used to prevent moisture from rising through walls, which can cause structural damage and dampness in buildings. Thanks

I agree. I think with any building project you need to supervise to ensure you get what you want for your requirements. It’s your investment.

Yes, both DPM and DPC are needed. The latter is to prevent raising damp from the walls.

@@l.e.sparklesfkaelliesparkl5875 A damp proof membrane (DPM) is used in to prevent the passage of moisture or water vapor through floors, walls, and other structural elements. According the the building regs both must be used.

Well that’s why there is a building regs in every country to deal with such specific issues. A natural disaster can happen anywhere at anytime however, if your building complies with the local regs and it’s insured, you just have to leave the rest to God.
