Thank you Dr. Beeke! I recently purchased the book and am planning on starting in about a day or so. I’m very nervous because two of my three children (daughter 7, son 5) including a newborn can obviously be very rambunctious. Days can be very difficult and frustrating for my wife and I. A person's salvation is not dependent on the correct interpretation of every text in the Bible. The essential requirements for salvation can be easily understood by anyone who has done minimal study and been explained the Gospel. So long as a person believes that Jesus is God manifest in the flesh and was crucified to take the punishment owed to us onto Himself, and that alone is how they are saved, then they are saved. What exactly do you mean "get your theology wrong." I've always thought this idea that perfect theology is required for salvation is ridiculous. It's an incredibly Catholic and Orthodox belief that you have to be "right" in all doctrine to be saved. It's funny when I hear Catholics say "It doesn't seem right that the Lutherans are right and everyone else is damned," like yeah, Lutherans don't believe that either lol

This isn't right. Beware of anyone selling you shortcuts to anything in the Christian life. Its the father's responsibility to search the Bible and teach his family.

Dennis have you actually read this book? It just shows you examples of a father and how a father can biblically lead his home . Every father must put in the work , But this book is great in helping you and provides scripture on how to do that . Questions and answers etc . Some Fathers don’t know where to start ,or even what family worship looks like . This points directly to scripture so I don’t see what the problem is.

@@DennisdH Dail is right. Have you seen a copy? It just has lots of questions. The father doesn’t know where to begin so all it is, is a book of questions to probe, meditate on God & the practical obedience of the particular Bible chapter read. This is a devotion time. Not an inductive Bible Study. You are probably thinking of Inductive Bible Study but that (IBS) is not what you do with your children daily, is it?
