Hey what's up Lucy!!! Wow, this is by far the most comprehensive success road map I've ever seen. Your video is the blue print to not only landing a job in cloud but any job! Thank you so much for all of the information and tools that you provide us with to succeed!! Be well, be safe and Cheers!!
I am prepping for CLF-02, wanting to move from Desktop to Cloud and your videos are very insightful, knowledgeable and so so helpful. e.g. I never knew about AI Resume builder which I will be using. Thank you Miss Lucy!
@@deathbyvanity1955 didn’t end up being chosen. I now have two remote tech jobs and I make way more than I would have if I took the cloud engineering role.
Hey Lucy, thanks for the video!!! I recently started looking into cloud and how to get started and this video gave me some great ideas. I really liked how you laid out the 5 steps. I was struggle to put a plan together for my cloud journey but then I saw this video. Now I have starting point. I just finished watching your video about walking away from AWS. One nugget I try to live my life by is, "Have the courage to live a life true to yourself, not the life others expect of you." Keep doing your thang🧑💻🖥💪🎉🥳
@@sevimsoffice Yea I understand but it’s hard to know what jobs are realistic for someone with no work experience but have the certs “not mentioning the skillset certs”
Only having certs will be hard to land jobs - so I recommend building technical projects as a minimum. Check out my video on the top 5 cloud computing careers: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4nOWK__Sj3A.html All those roles have junior / associate level options
Hello again, Lucy. I just came from another of your videos (How you would learn AWS cloud if you could start over), and I have a helpful (hopefully, that is how it is meant) suggestion regarding your video format. In the video above, you bring up specific points (for example, the three role goal and the 20 hour paragraph), but you do not leave them onscreen long enough to read them. I think leaving them onscreen for a couple of more seconds will help the viewer remember your points. The second thing I wanted to ask about is the hands-on experience. From what you stated in this video, the AWS projects you are recommending would seem to get your resume in front of the hiring manager. Do you know of people that have successfully interviewed, or have even been hired, having only these types of projects on their resume and not real-world experience? The preparing for the interview is very good information, especially knowing as much about the company you are interviewing for as you can. And speaking of that, there is always the "Do you have any questions for me?" part of an interview. Do you have any recommendations regarding the questions someone should ask when being interviewed by Amazon? Thank you, again, Happy Holidays!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR VIDEOS!!! You have motivated me to take the leap into a new field and I am so excited! Do you have any recommendations on a quality laptop while I’m still learning the Cloud?
Hello Lucy, I just obtained my SAA-C03. Just this month and I have been using whiz labs for my lab environments for hands on. But I am wanting to build a project or a few to add to my resume. Some links or guidance on this would be so amazing. I thank you for your time pertaining to this matter.
Hello lucy, thanks for your comprehensive career path for cloud computing career. Please which should a beginner learn first; Devops or Cloud? Please send me links on where to start learning either of them. Thanks
thank you for this wonderful video. I am 66 and have been out of computing since 2010. Do you think I can get into cloud computing? thanks for a reply.
ummm all the tech companies like Google, Amazon, Microsoft etc ... are on massive layoffs so if you have zero to little experience it could be very very hard to land a job atm i actually think getting certifications are the biggest lie out there, i've met a lot of certified ppl who had no idea how to build a simple serverless application or had no idea how to solve a simple DNS issue! focus on learning the basics and learn Networking (i can't stress this enough)! i feel a lot of ppl just memorize to pass the certification and then struggle on simple things so DON'T WORRY ABOUT CERTIFICATIONS honestly! it's like buying a top brand snowboard and you don't even know how to snowboard
this is more of the advice we need in the tech community. My brother works for Amazon help desk tier 2 and he always encounters people who make MORE THAN HIM and they barely know how to do their job properly because all they did was memorize some questions and pass a cert. Im in the process of trying to get certified in AWS solutions architect. Could you elaborate a lil more on the networking aspect and how it pertains to Cloud?
@@ikjon23 i've met/worked with some engineers who had like 5 Cloud Certs but when it came down to it they didn't know. If you wanna be a successful engineer you need to learn Networking (protocols, ports, firewalls, dns, routing etc ...) these are so vital that without them you have trouble doing a lot of things. You need solid Linux knowledge and understand the concepts of services in the Cloud 'cause in the end the services are the same, they just have a different brand
@Joey Jojo thank you for the response! I know many tech companies are doing tons of layoffs but I'm hoping on standing out to get a nice position and a good company when things get better. Appreciate your time.
Hi Lucy, do you think it is easy to transition to a different cloud provider? Say I get the AWS Solutions Architect Cert -> you think this would still qualify me as a candidate for an Azure cloud role?
Hey Lucy! I’m new to cloud computing and I’m trying to obtain my CCP certification. I bought a course but it’s just so hard for me to learn and grasp everything. I feel like it’s impossible to learn the material and I don’t know what to do!
Hi Lucy. Your videos are really amazing & easy to understand. I've actually got a question, I am a non-STEM graduate & now want to learn cloud computing, but I'm not sure of it, will it really be possible to complete the journey with no science background? Though I have basic tech knowledge.
Mam am getting job opportunity for SRE (Site Reliability Engineer) and AWS Support Consultant for client (client using AWS Cloud platform for his / her warehouse) , so which should I choose? Considering my future carrier growth?
Hello lucy i am a tech support engineer hand on kubernetes and docker i want to switch on to cloud career my aim is to become aws cloud architect.please guide me to become cloud architect and how to grab entry level roles
I like your presentation. Can you please suggest a right certificate path for me. I am a Telecom Product Business Analyst (Application/Functional) and would need basic understanding of cloud when I interface with Infra Team and client. What would be the right certification.
I see all these websites and articles on good bootcamps to go through, offering certifications and career services. Are any of these bootcamps truly worth it, or is it more advisable to go about teaching myself everything I need to know and then working toward the certifications?
Do you think is it possible to find a job with google cloud associate cloud engineer? Or you need to be an architect? The same with equivalent to AWS... Thanks for all
How can you build a personal project with ability to support large amount of usage. This is kind of a hard thing to achieve because you have no users, right?
I have finished getting my Cloud practioner cert but am struggling to find begginger cloud projects to start getting hands on experience if anyone has any that are good would be much appreciated
I like watching Lucy's videos because I can test my mental strength, in reference to concentrating on the material presented and not getting caught up how very attractive Lucy is. Her personality fortifies how gorgeous she is. Great video(s) Lucy!!!!
I have my SAA as well, have built projects using AWS resources, and tailored my resume. Even applying to application support roles Im not even getting interviews. I have 10 yrs of finance experience and im trying to lean on those transferrable skills. I think if you dont have a CS degree, or existing experience from a previous role, its extremely hard to get into a role cold. I think thats just the reality of it. You need a cosign from someone. Still working on that myself. I dont think stacking certs is the move anymore as return on investment isnt guaranteed at this point. I think networking is the key. Good luck!
Making money is an art, you can only make money if you practice and master the art..... by the way I enjoyed watching your videos. a fellow creator----
Hi Lucy Can you please help me out on this? I am trying to find course on Azure Cloud partitioner, I am not able to find one in any platform. Can you please tell how should I look for it, because it not showing with MS Azure Cloud Partitioner..
