when learning programming. Do lots of mistakes in the beginning even if your code works try to get different types of error and understand them.

Choose a language and a good IDE then - ---- 1. Stick with programming 2. Learn basic programming problem solving 3. Decide/ Fix a goal and finish that. 4. Use other people's codes also.

I am Graphics designer profession. After work, I learn to code and taught myself HTML, CSS and basics of JS and jquery. I don't know how to proceed further. How to gain experience coding. I understand languages well and learn only by on-hand experience. What should i do? I want to work on some front-end projects and learn from them. as well. I believe learning is better when collaborated. I don't know any one from inside the industry to start. It will be great if you can help me out on this!

Hello. Thank you for these tips. I get frustrated when the code doesn't work because I think that it should be easy as it is logic based, so one just needs to implement logical steps to get the result. But it doesn't work like this, I don't understand why. Maybe you can tell me why something that seems logical and formulaic can be so perplexing? I am learning Pyhton by the way and my end goal is to make a simple shooting game.

I personally dont use ide's. I think new programmers should be conversant with working from the terminal without the hand holding from ides. It will build character and make them more conversant of what's going on under the hood. It will also help them develop their style.
