Here are a couple of tips that make assembly slightly easier ru-vid.comUgkxCx5fHawkK9OoV-ojFrY8JLnZrFwAmvUt . 1) One person can assemble, but if you have a buddy to help, it will make it go faster - especially steps 1-3 and 8 (the legs aren't heavy but can be difficult to hold while screwing things in). Step 8, 1st part will take some time unless you have two more hands OR are really lucky. 2) Use a socket wrench! 3) Step 7, 3rd part - the flame carry over tube has an open side, MAKE SURE THE OPEN SIDE IS FACING THE FRONT. If it's facing the back, the tube won't work. 4) Step 10, 3rd part - if you don't have small hands (I don't, they're gigantic) getting the nut on is really difficult (but not impossible). It took me about 4 hours to assemble, but I took a "union break" every 60-90 minutes and ate a quick lunch. Also, I'm really OCD so I took my time, looked at the instructions carefully, and cleaned up as I went.
I just bought my Weber Spirit with 3 burners and the first time using this worked (I’ve only used it once) but just now I followed instructions to turn gas on, turned burner knob to ignite and pushed the ignition button and nothing. I could hear the clicking but couldn’t smell the gas and no flames. I changed the battery, nothing again but clicking and no gas smell so finally I tried undoing the gas connection and then connecting again and suddenly everything worked. Bizarre
Holly shit I’m so dumb bought a new grill and was so confused why the electric ignition wasn’t working, of course I didn’t put a damn battery in there. Thank you for your video
Thanks a lot for this. Decided to hose down the grill after a cooking oil mishap and it wouldn't ignite. I don't know much about grills, still pretty new to it, but simply reinserting some of the wires, batteries, and manually igniting it and letting it run for 10 minutes got it sorted, ignites just fine again without having to spend any money :)
Thank you so much!! Dinner was not ruined. Found on google and it was the same exact grill! Couldn't have been better to come across this. For me it was the battery! Cheers!
Thank you so much. Our neighbor just gave us his infrared grill and your videos are helping us learn how to operate it before we attempt to use it. And you explain things so well theres no what did he say or I dont know what part he's talking about. Plus you show it as you describe things. Thanks again
My grill is brand new and won’t ignite. No spark or anything when button is pushed. First thing I thought of was to replace the battery. Still nothing. Is this normal on a BRAND NEW GRILL??
My igniter is not even making the clicking sound when I press the button. Is this a sign I may need to replace the igniter? I’ll have to look and see if it has a battery but I don’t know if it does. I replaced the propane tank maybe spring or early summer so I know it’s not empty yet.
No point in going thru the hole. Simply open up the grill and light each burner manually with a long grill lighter as you would with a charcoal grill. I do this for now with my grill until I get around to replacing the ignitor. But good video.
The 2nd burner from the left for some reason won't light and stay lit. All other burners work fine. I did the first step here and cleaned each burner hole. Any idea?
Hey Brandon, Maybe take that burner out and look into it and see if there are any clogs/ spider webs etc. Maybe swap burners and that way you can see if it’s the burner or the input. Thx for watching!
Hey big.., Have you looked at the bottom of the grill - maybe it is different for different grills, See if you can look up you exact model online for a user manual. Seems like a manual way to light the grill would be basic to most grills. Charbroils also gone with a metal “match holder” to reach into the grill ( from the top?) . Thx for watching!
