There are a number of ways to photograph individuals wearing glasses, in this video I will demonstrate three ways to do just that. I will be sharing photography tips and techniques as well as a live view of the actual shoot. As with all my lighting tutorial videos, I will be giving you a behind the scenes and live view (SOOC) look of the entire shoot.

I love these tips. As a glasses wearer, this is enlightening. I think most photographers tell models to take then off. As Coco is quite cute with glasses. Some people tend to squint if they are not wearing their glasses and that not a nice portrait.

if the angle is very very small, you can sometimes lift the arms off the top of the ears, just so very slightly and knock out that glare. be careful though so the arms arent so far off the ears the lenses are on an unrealistic tilt.

When a volunteer model showed up wearing eyeglasses and said time was limited too, I did not have the setting nor a large soft box. Worse, I did not have the skills to meet the challenge. Videos like these provide real insight into a common problem. Thanks!

Thanks Jiggie, at times I would run into this same issue where there are reflections on the glasses. I now have a better understanding of the issue and several methods to eliminate them from my photos

I tried shooting with glares a few days ago. I placed my light above my head and it worked. Now I know why and how. Thank you.

Thanks Jiggie! I was thinking of sending you an email today asking you to do a video on eyeglasses reflection, but it's done! Awesome coincidence. My assumption is if you use an additional fill light and/or reflector, that will not impact at all. My thought instead of the manfrotto scrim (because of expense, is to use a 5-in-1 Oval 80X120cm/31"x47" diffusion reflector. Seems like that should work well as a large light source, especially for a head-shot, correct? I do a fair amount of pro bone work for non-profits and I have a head-shot session in 2 weeks and some of the people have glasses. One thing I also learned is asking the person if he or she want their glasses on. Thanks for the time you spend doing these videos. always clear and helpful!

Serendipitous :) a large oval reflector will work to create a big light source. A reflector will help to open up the shadows in case you have to resort to the angle of incidence and reflection technique

Can you do pixel peeping on the eye? Because some users complain about eye ag issue on a74 whrere it tends to front focus on the eyelids or eye brows. I hope I get a response🙏

What if you’re shooting during an event and you’re using on camera flash… How do you avoid the flash bouncing on people’s glasses.?
@XtremeLinkProduction
@XtremeLinkProduction Год назад
if its a event u can ask the person to simply tilt their head in a direction that reduces glare or flare or u can ask them to slightly nudge or move their glasses down their nose but if u have white walls you can alternatively bounce the light off the walls to avoid glare/flare
