One thing I forgot to cover is if you do the loop too slow. If that's the case you will not have the clone for the 5th lightning and so won't have Lvl3 Buster charged, so the combo will end. If it happens to you you need to go faster next time, but in match you just need to adjust and have a reset prepared for that situation to keep then from resetting completely to neutral and DHCing or hard talking out.
Very comprehensive! One thing I will add is that there is two ways to input jump lightnings/tk lightnings. There's the normal way, hit up then dp. But you can shortcut it with a Q motion. Numpad notation 323693L. Whenever I doubt the lightning loop juggle I revert back to TK's for the sake of consistency.

Imagine my surprise coming back to MvC3 after 10 years and learning that my preferred team had such sauce. This has been fun to figure out, but I want to share that I've been relearing the controls when I hear the word "Tiger Knee" and I'm like "OHHHHH, YOU CAN TOTALLY TIGER KNEE THE MOVE!" Game changer, I'm going to be even more unstoppable to my group of casuals.
It's funny because sometimes I'll get the charge shot into divekick into lightning consistently but other times I'll accidentally do a divekick or I'll end up doing the wrong lightning
I find when things like that happen, fixing it is down to breaking it down into smaller chunks in training and focusing on those over and over until you're 'refreshed' again on what you're doing. Then run some drills on executing the whole sequence together!
Im practicing the lightning loops and when i releaase buster lightning doesnt come out and often times just a light will come out instead, and I inputting the lightning too fast?
Ah, so you successfully release the buster, but fail to get lightning if I'm reading that correctly? Short version: You probably didn't input the DP correctly. Long version: From my understanding of the game the buffer window at the end of Buster's recovery is 3 frames, so you can input 623L (DP L) 3 frames before you recover from Buster and there's probably a couple of frames after Buster recovers when you can get Lightning and have it combo. So if you are inputting the Lightning correctly you should get Lightning and never just get a light. Only way you should be able to get a light is if you didn't get the 623/DP input right, or if you finished the input and left a gap between the motion's last input and your L button press. Time to go practise getting buster lightning to come out 10 times in a row facing right, then 10 times in a row facing left!
Well my tutorial is probably outdated now! Best tips off me : 1) Personal preference for me after sougemu is jump buster lighting, Normal Jump Lightning, Tiger Knee Lightning, jump buster lightning and repeat. You sacrifice some damage but maintain consistency and you occasionally run out of sougenmu on last rep if youre too slow doing just normal jump lightnings 2) you can end the sougenmu with H Ryuenjin xx Buster Lightning for a little extra meter and damage and also to get your buster charged up a bit more if you did your reps too fast. But that does take some practice. 3) H Dive xx buster Lightning doesnt work on Ammy. You need assists. Rest of the lightning loops mostly work after 4) practice BOTH sides! A lot of people prefer doing the reps on the right side over the left but its important to practice on both sides of the screen!
I haven't got a clue about that one tbh, pad is a mystery to me, and managing charge with macros all over is not something I'm familiar with sorry Puma!
How are you doing M+H to dash and charge buster, but still able to use M attacks and H attacks? I try it and I'm locked out of using those attacks til I let go(I have right bumper as M+H)
Can you point to a timestamp in particular? If I'm dashing with M+H while charging buster then I have L held already. If I have no buster held at all then I can start charging with either of the M or H buttons for the dash, then when I press L I keep hold of that button which frees my M and H buttons up.
What changes about the routing if you do TK lightning for every rep? I find it way more consistent to get the lightning out by TKing it rather than doing normal jump.
@@ReverieSR that's cool, nothing really changes with the route, 3 lightnings, buster lightning, 2 more lightnings, buster lightning xx sougenmu 👍 You just lose out on some damage but do what's good for you!
Any tips on getting the divekick into buster lighting midscreen, I can hit it semi-consistently in the corner but just trying to do the basic bnb midscreen I can really get the divekick to confirm.
Doesn't really work midscreen into lightning, you need to get nearly on top of them, dive kick xx buster, teleport L down, then slight dash into either just S or st.HS. It's hard no doubt, I much prefer having an assist available, or getting a solo corner carry combo that doesn't need to OTG.

@@ameersher easiest way is to pick Doom's plasma assist and jump, call plasma, dive kick H and then just launch into MMHS As for combos, are you in the main UMvC3 discord?

My buster never doesn’t get anywhere close to level 3 by the time I do the clone super? What could be going wrong ? I’m buffering it as early as possible
@@malikmanautou2960 after the divekick xx buster, lightning xx sougenmu? If you do buster then lightning L, and never let go of the L you pressed for the lightning, you will have L3 buster charged by the time you reach normal jump height after the sougenmu. Be sure not to let go of charge at any point between the lightning and then, even during the super cinematic. If you are having trouble after experimenting, see if you can record a video of it for me!

As a DBFZ player I mainly only know these combos in numpad notations lol. Does anyone have the inputs for the loops posted with purely numpad notations?
@@antonypistachio5476 that's it yeah. Most of the time it's just gonna be 236H xx Buster release, 623L xx 214MH, but sometimes certain assists like Jam Session have extensions that don't use the 236H because it's so late in the combo that the Buster would whiff if you tried it.
I'm actually not sure any more! I downloaded the Halloween pack that Xeno made, that had one costume per character, so it might be that? Fairly sure it is. Xeno had a separate portfolio where he hosts his work so you might need to Google it, but have a look about nexus mods if you don't find that costume there.
