Actually Hitler ordered his troops to destroy Paris after realizing the Allies are going to take it back. Dietrich von Choltitz who was in charge of Paris didn’t follow Hitlers direct order and gave the city back without a scratch✌🏻

Quick fact/correction! Sacre Coeur is a church, not a cathedral. There can only be one Catholic cathedral (the seat for a bishop) in a city. So Notre Dame de Paris is the only cathedral in Paris.

A good service cannot be fast in a real french restaurant. Why ? Because they cook fresh food on the spot. If you get a"crème brûlée" in less than 15 minutes, then it's not a fresh one, it's an industrial one, a fake one ! It takes time to cook... In France, a fast service means a fast food, .... a bad food.

I haven't been to Paris since I was 14, and now my tastes have changed; After a week of grazing my way around, the airline would probably charge me for an extra seat to go home. Awesome city, thanks for showing us what I was too young to appreciate at the time. Stay Lost.

Your video style is sick, improving day by day Me and my boyfriend explored Paris in January. We were only there for 3 days and it was no way near enough time. You need some time to explore Paris because it is soo big I found it to be one of the most expensive cities in Europe But defo travel like a local, i think thats the best tip i have took from all my travels

Jon & Mia.....I sooo agree; we were in Paris for 3 Days as well last week; Now that I look back; I had fun but would love to go bk for at least 5 - 7 days & explore more of the city; just sooo much to see and do; it's like Las Vegas; just fancier & with much better food

So is there a good amount of people that speak English in Paris? Or would I have to learn French?

@@ohhunni4078 if u want to be sure to find someone who speaks english, search for the young/students people. Otherwise, almost everyone will talk in English or try to answer you BUT it's really important in our culture to at least starting in french like "Bonjour" if u want to ask help. If it's to be friends with people, there are some bars and cafes that are specialised in the gatherings of french and foreign people so that u can make friends easily ;) tell me if u want to know them!

I got the opportunity to go to Paris for the first time in October, stayed in Le Montclair Montmartre and went to all attractions from Eiffel Tower, to Jardin Du Luxembourg to Arc De Triomphe. I fell in absolute LOVE with Paris, I have to go again!!! 😍😍😍😍

we have our equivalent of a big city, that's Nice. Full of young people and multicultural. I grew up in the village that's located a couple of miles away from Monaco. If you want to wander around with a moped, you'll be ok in the countryside but you'll have to deal with lonely elderly people that constantly need hugs. I have been living in the city 30 mn away from home by train . I feel great. I am loving it. I can never live in Paris. its a little too hectic.

I went to Paris last winter and it was awesome, it was my second time there. I'm definitely planing to go again and maybe even live there one day. I wanted to say something about catacombs.. It was December and of course it was like reallyy cold, we waited few hours in the line that wasn't even moving so we gave up. It's the only thing I have in bad memory about Paris, but everything else was just perfect!

Great experience you had in Paris! I was in Paris for my b day in October, 2019 and I loved it! I saw the usual, Eiffel Tower and the louvre . Ate at various local restaurants and for my b day I hate a exquisite seafood 🦞 cuisine that was to die for ! . I only had four days because I booked a flight to Hamburg, Germany but I’ll be back next year and stay at least 2 to 3 weeks and explore more .

Wonderful video. I did my high school (lycée) there in the '70s. I lived in a seven story walk-up with cold running water and toilet down the hall. Room was 2 meters by 3 (I measured it). 200 francs per month.
