This is one reason we do pre-recorded live streams. We record Sunday morning and post Sunday afternoon and it's been working perfect. Gives us time to fix anything in post we don't have to worry about poor internet connection.

It's worth mentioning that the choice or modem/router is critical when doing cellular streaming. We had a bottleneck at 4Mbps which we thought was the ISP, but after some testing we found it was our Teltonika 4G router that was the problem. We purchased a Huawei B525 4G router and with exactly the same ISP, router location and configuration were able to get 13Mbps upload speed, and are now able to stream at 8Mbps over our cellular connection with no problems at all. We also tried a Tp-link Archer MR600, but this 4G router does not work at all with the ATEM Mini Pro.

Hi. We had internet by a major provider but it was too expensive. I have Att.with a hotspot on the phone. My cellular service is strong . I had the hot spot service increased to 50 mps. I’m calling them now to have them send me a unit with a Ethernet port for direct connection . Thanks Jake….

We use my androidphones 4G hotspot function for Livestream - no special plan needed. It uses up to 4gb for one service. The speed is 50 down and 25 upstream. The Phone is placed near a window. All backroundapps and incoming calls disabled. In addition we use a repeater for wlan in the hole church.

Thank you. can I use my own person mobile simcard which I use for my mobile phone instead of buying a new sim card with the monthly plan?

I even use 300 bitrate on my church due to 600 kbps average upload speed. I always share that it's the content that counts and the message of God. Quality doesn't matter as long as the message delivered is smooth. God bless to all

Would you connect the ethernet to the Ray encoder? Thinking about going with this option while we switch ISPs

I have the same problem. We've been live streaming 2 services on Sundays since December. The system was there prior to me arriving but they couldn't get it to work. I have Comcast cable internet at the church and after a few weeks of flawless services and even 2 memorial services I began to get thrown off the internet and unable to log on anywhere in the church. Even the phones went down. Prior to that we'd have outages and because the Teradek encoder I use has a reconnect feature I'd be back up with skips in the broadcast. I noticed last Sunday that my upload speed dropped from just under 25Mbps to 1 and sometimes less than that so now we've had to suspend our live stream after Comcast said that we are in a "problem" area. Verizon has offered us 25Mbps speed and 25 gigs of data for $99 a month. I'm taking it.

You could just use a hotspot on your phone. We streamed almost 15 funerals last year on our phones using an average bitrate of 800K to youtube. No plan was needed to increase our bill.

Hey Jake, great videos. Can you give your review on Yamaha TF series? Most of the reviews online are mixed and totally confusing. We are small fellowship streamed from home. Purchased a basic analog mixer from Yamaha few months back but we are very limited by 2 channels in DAW so decided to get a digital mixer inorder to route audio via Ableton. Yamaha has a service provider in my country but not Behringer or Midas. Spoke to Yamaha Technical Sales Staff and he was saying that multi track recording can only be done in Nuendo Live and not any other DAW"s. It also has DAW control only for Neundo. Since you worked on various consoles, kindly give your feedback. Is Midas easy to navigate and understand for a beginner who has never used a mixing console except for a basic analog mixer few months back.

I do Livestreams several times per week and use my 5G AT&T Hotspot. I can stream a full 4k@30fps with no frame drops. My plan comes with 20G of Hotspot and if you need more data you can add 5G for $10. Way cheaper and a much better solution than what you are using.

What if you live in rural areas do you think it will work
@CharlezRichard
@CharlezRichard 2 года назад
@@niki_dashed3142 I livestream everywhere including rural areas. Now there are areas in the world that it just simply doesn't work, regardless which network you use or satellite ( including Ham Radio Signal). But technology has advanced so much that if the cell phone provider has no cell tower in the area it switches to roaming. No company in the world will give you 100% coverage BUT Worldwide the company that covers the most is AT&T, not Verizon, not T-Mobile, not SkyNet. I know because I have tried them all and I travel Worldwide. Plus also know that 5G is not available everywhere.

what do you guys think of using Speedify for portable LTE streaming? Any opinions on this software?
@themadpriest71

I have been using this software for the past few months and it has helped save my livestreams from dropping. Usually use 3-4 LTE connections. Have been looking into building an appliance to run Speedify to offload the work of my streaming pc

has anyone used a dslr or mirrorless camera with a gimbal to stabilize it while on a tripod? i am looking for a way to stabilize our camera but i fear all the cables coming out of the camera will get in the way or unbalance the gimbal.

Just bought one (after D-link dwr 92 didn't deliver whats on the package (failover)). Our church is in North London, towers nearby. Do you use an aerial for it and if so, which?

Depends what how much inputs you need but if its basic stuff like a mic and a guitar,bass,piano, or another mic then just get either the scarlett 2i2 (i think thats the name) or scarlett solo
