In this video we show you some basic tips on how to load your road or mountain bike into your car on the back seat. Why one should load it from the drivers' side (right hand drive) and how to secure it.
great video. a couple of other suggestions, place a furniture blanket on the seats / carpet to protect them. Also, it's from passenger side for us biker's in the States. cheers!
This is cool. I need to try this with my bike. If i can do this, i should also be able to store an extra folding bike in the trunk. That way i can easily haul two bikes in my car. Thanks so much for sharing this helpful video.
You dont need to remove the front wheel. Dont need to turn your bike upside down. 1. Just put your bike from the rightside back door 2. Once the bike is abt 80% in the car, lift the front wheel up a bit, make sure your front wheel attached to the inside left rear door. 3. Turn the handle 45° to the left. 4. Shove the back wheel into the car. Step 3 and 4, need to adjust accordingly.
I did this intuitively when I was trying to stow my bike into my sedan - however I ended up stacking both my wheels into the boot and the frame across the backseat. However, I think keeping the rear wheel on might actually secure the bike even better and also protect the groupset.
