Shows how to load an actual paper chart into Markup R-XP. Using Extra Mode to import the image, a slight adjustment of the grid is then required to to get things to line up.
Many thanks to Lizzie*Kate designs for letting me show this pattern.

What if your chart is multiple pages - do you have to load each pieces as a separate project?

Hi 'The Paper Addict', if you have a multi-page chart most users currently use third party tools to convert them to a single PDF and load then into Markup R-XP that way. However, we do have this feature request on our backlog (see trello.com/c/jtQW7xjI) and if it gets more votes we can look at adding to it in. Thanks

Excellent tutorial. I do worry though…. If this chart is copyright protected. Don’t want Markup getting in to any copyright issues.

Hi Jan, thanks for your concern. I agree that copyright is a big issue, so I checked with Alan at Lizzie*Kate to get their permission first before posting the video. Thanks

Hi, I’ve got several patterns that are in a book and are over multiple pages. Do you have a function that allows this yet?

Hi Kayleigh, we are looking at doing something to allow users to do this, but the workaround for the meantime is to combine your individual images into a PDF using a free online PDF editor. Thanks

I need to know how to upload the paper pattern. Do I take a photo of it then add that? It doesn’t actually explain this in the video. Please can you let me know.

Hi, for Markup R-XP to work with any chart it must be straight and flat - that means there should be little to no bend in the chart lines of your image. This can be caused by creases, crumples in the paper, curled up corners or just the paper not being flat on the surface when the photo is taken. Most of our users tend to get their paper patterns scanned and that creates a PDF document. From there, the PDF file can be uploaded into Markup R-XP. You can also pick up lots of helpful hints and tips if you join our FaceBook group 'Markup R-XP Users' . Thanks, James
